So did anyone go to the Linfield Scrimmage last Saturday and if so what is the concensus?

They couldn't chew gum and walk at the same time.  We'll be lucky if we can line up on the right side of the ball.  Our linebackers are midgets, our whole offensive line could fit into a Yugo.  Our QBs couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat.  Our DBs couldn't cover a twin bed with a king sized blanket.  Our WRs couldn't catch the clap in a SE Asia house of sin.  Our RBs spend most of their time spiking themselves and our defensive line couldn't push an A-Phi out of the dessert line in Dillon.

We might as well not go to Texas.   :-[

(in other words...I'm not saying a word.  :-X )
Yeah....but our punter was awesome!  I'm sure the offense will get in gear once they figure out the Double Wing-T offense.  Is it Saturday yet? :)

What do you guys know about Pacific Lutheran?  What can we expect to see from them on Saturday?  Really looking forward to the out of conference regional clash!

I think there's a little info on PLU in the NWC Pick-em thread.  I don't know anything other than what I"ve read.  They are a young team.

I know this is a little out of date (considering the season's already started and Whitcomb is injured), but there's nothing I can do about updating our website.  Anyway, my previews of the Willamette offense and defense are below:

JTS,

Like Monrovia said they lost about 20-22 seniors last year and about 18 of them were starters.  They are not going to change their style but expect for PLU to throw the ball the majority of time.  They have an outstanding young WR in a kid name Ford.  I think they're going to finish in the bottom half of the NWC but that is mainly due to experience and not a lack of talent.

Hurricane Ike sinks Texas trip

......don't worry that is just about the Vollyball team cancelling it's trip to San Antonio.   ;D

Will Linfield beat HSU?

Con:
*   HSU is very tough, both at home and away.   They would be a major contender in the NWC.
*   HSU already beat one tough team, away from home.
*   Texas heat and humidity.
*   Wildcats have a new QB and major changes on defense.

Pro:
*   Linfield is Linfield.
*   The Wildcats just reload.
*   Potentially a very good running game.
*   If Hurricane Ike hits, the rain might help the Cats.   They will feel at home.

HSU must be favored.    Yet, I think this is the turnaround year for the Linfield coach.

Linfield wins a squeaker.

OK boys, here are GHC's early numbers on this Sat's game.

CATS are a +17 all day long.

Final Cats 27  HSU 10

Our O will roll, and this will be our first look at the 08 SALTY D  They will dominate , they have speed power and multiple shut down players, both as DB's and DE.  8 tackle for loss plays and 4 sacks will highlight the day.

Phone it in boys its in the bank baby !!

GHC

MonroviaCat

I like your numbers there GHC.  I'm assuming the 27 pts includes 2 field goals and not a missed PAT.  We don't need  to go there again this year, do we? :)  I think the Cats have a chance to break in their running game against HSU's D-line.  They are young and not too big from what I can tell looking at their roster.  Might be good to establish a running game early this year..(?) A few more days....getting excited!   8)

Just curious....tea leaves or throwing bones?

Sounds good to me, whatever.

Linfield just better have their running game in order because weather.com is calling for HIGH WINDS!
