D O.C.

From the Tacoma News Tribune:

QuoteBixenman was Linfield's life-saving spark. Coming off the bench to
replace ailing starter Cole Franklin, he directed three consecutive
scoring drives to start the third quarter, the last coming on his
1-yard TD plunge.

What is Franklin ailing about?

NW folk, thank-you for the rain we are getting the last couple of days.

GHC, Your reasoning makes sense. Teams can play down to others' levels at times, especially when coming off a big emotional game the week before. I'm just glad we got the W. We need to refocus now with Western Oregon coming to town, as I'd think we'll be the underdog in that one.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I wonder if we broke into the Top 25 or moved up in the Regional Poll with our victory!

I think WOU had over 500 yards on offense and their QB passed for 4 or 5 TDs.  :o

They sound solid, Blue. Also, their WRs are really big. One guy is 5' 9", but the others who get playing time are 6' 1", 6' 3", 6' 3", 6' 4", 6' 5" &  6' 6". The 6' 6" guy (#21) is a 24 year old JR.

GHC and Foss,

The signature was a gift from WC11, and I can't change it myself. Hell, I could barely get it on there. Thanks, 11, for your creativity!

So GHC, you won't be coming to the Catdome for the WOU game?
Two words:  THE STREAK

Linfield should beat WOU pretty easily.  Those stats (for last Saturday) were against Humboldt -- a team that hasn't won a conference game in the GNAC all year.   WOU gets a lot of "offsides" calls and other assorted penalties.  Now, that could be interesting.  I still say Linfield wins it.  I've seen them both play this year -- not much to worry about from WOU.

While I appreciate the vote of confidence, it is really going to depend on if LINFIELD shows up or if linfield (i.e. the team we saw this weekend and for about a quarter and half against Willamette the week before...) shows up.  The boys need to suck it up and get ready to play good football this week....
Go Cats!

Could you possibly be thinking about SOU instead of WOU? Willamette played SOU, but they dont play Western

bbaddict

Yes, I know the difference, fwgis.  SOU is the Raiders way down in Ashland.  WOU is the Wolves - just in Monmouth.   Didn't say I saw both teams play WU, just said I've seen them both play this year.

Funny thing about WOU -- they didn't want to play WU this year because they've killed them the previous two years in their openers.  So, instead, they got killed by PSU.  Poetic justice?
