I hope you are healthy and that illness was not the reason you disappeared this whole season. You, of all the WU crew, have earned the right to come on the NWC board and flap your wings. You did a heck of a lot of swimming upstream a couple of years ago

D O.C.  Thanks for the thought.   No health problems, except for a mild case of board fatigue and the press of other commitments.   Nothing that a great playoff run by Willamette won't cure.

The NCAA should change some of its playoff policies about playoff travel re the "islands" of Texas, Cali, and the Pac NW.  Granted the policies worked better when there were no islands and only the "mainland" of New York, New Jersey,  Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, etc. where playoff scheduling was easier.  But times and membership geography have changed and the NCAA's policies should change also to give the "islands" a fair shake, unless DIII wants to remain a mainly eastern/midwestern regional organization.

Please, please!....although we are still members of the NWC and were picked to win the conference in 2008, let's please remember that WU has exceeded all expectations of their pre-season 81st rank by the PC Posse, and it is their day in the sun (just a phrase, OXY), so let's let them bask in the chance to win more than one play-off game and not blow it for the NWC. We can talk about the best athletes being on the field at the same time next season as well as just what the Hades went wrong with punt protection time after time after time during the 48 degrees with drizzle days to follow.
