I think it was a message game, Olaf's coach Meidt had been running the score up on a lot of weaker teams this season doing onside kicks and fake punts late with the game in hand.

Olaf beat Macalaster 70-10, I think Gags wanted to show Meidt what losing by 60 felt like!

That's disgusting... Why would any coach do that to another team--fake punts and onsides with the game in hand?  If it's true that Olaf was doing that, I'm glad the Johnnies handed them their butts.

I agree.  Good job SJU.  I hope they left their starters in until the fourth quarter and beat the crap out of them.

The other thing that bugs me about teams that run up the scores is that they invariably keep the 1st stringers in and never let the 2nd and 3rd stringers get in.  It's a team game.  Let the kids play.  Sheesh.

Don't be mislead by the SJU Rhetoric, the #1 bully in the MIAC is Gag's from St. Johns.  No coach piles on points like him or is more disliked for his coaching charactor than him.

They had a big win today and I expect them to go far in the playoffs until Linfield piles it on them.

That conferance is awful in regards to running up the score. Olaf was only doing what has been done to them. But, Freebird is correct. "Gags" runs up the score without regard because he can. It pleases the rabid sju homers but leaves a sour taste in 99% of the country.

Like I said, do not be fooled. Stigtungfest means "Lets us pat you on the back while we stab you in the front."

Have to give props to Hansen and Aune today - discussing D3 playoffs, etc. during the breaks; supporting the Elliot for Heisman campaign; keeping D1 scores to a minimum (relatively); and even giving us a shout-out!

They must be perusing the board during the week!  Great job, guys!!
