People on here hate him because he really hates plu, and on here civility is regarded right up there with cleanliness and holiness.

Well... PLU brings that out in a lot of people...  ;)

I will say that when I first started going to Linfield games back in 1997, it was an entirely different atmosphere.  Things were quiet, and I was one of the few people who'd be actually shouting for the team.  Unless it was really close.

And there was that infamous "Linfield mutter" when something goes wrong.  mumble mumble mutter mutter...

Now people are pretty boistrous. Sometimes almost over the top.  I've noticed some outright rudeness at times but it's still better than ANY game back east.

They need a shutout. This seems like a game where Menlo will be happy they only lost by 38.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

The Linfield "mutter" is infamous. When teams go from being good to great you have to shed the excess weight. Fans who do not cheer or who regard games a nice weekend outing deserve ridicule. Other teams fans are out for wins, why should Linfield fans not be rabid?

Menlo scored. Ughh

Williamette beat Menlo 52-20 -- so perhaps the Cats might have a little closer game than they may have anticipated.  Still have to beat Willamette to keep home field advantage in the playoffs.

Well, too bad. Would have liked to have seen them pitch a shutout.

Next stop Salem

(Oregon.  Salem, VA, will have to wait a bit.)

I don't see Willamette putting up much of a fight.  PSU held them to under 100 yards total on the ground.  When's the last time anyone did that to Willamette's ground game.  And then we turned around and spanked PSU.

The Oaks played a great game today Holding the cats to 38..  right ... ;)

64, watch the plu score tonight ... Menlo is not a good test to judge by.....IMHO...  We don't run it up like some others do..

How Ironic:  The team with the worst record (0-7) holds the Cats to the lowest offensive point total of the year.

We need to stop the penalties if we're ever going to get close to Salem East this year!

64- If you think that wu score vs menlo means anything that you are mislead.

86,
I know that comparative scores are impossible to compare and sometimes cannot even be considered however, if the Cats don't become more consistent and stop the penalties they won't make a repeat appearance in Salem East this year.
The Cats have the talent to make the run but they just have to stop the stupid mistakes.

,, I think we all agree with you on the mistakes/flags...   we stop the fly better than anyone... If they will be in the game it will be with the air game...

Go Cats..  go lutes  attaway, attaway..

dc1 and spirit,
After a cheap shot late-hit on a QB after a touchdown pass -- by the most penalized team in the league (a pattern that magically followed Meidt from freebird's school  how does that happen? Perhaps just a statistical anomaly) -- I don't blame Kofoed wanting one more series.

I'm not a hater and I'm not saying to say that LC ran it up last week against UPS. I'm just saying that those few LC posters who like to ding SJU for this ought to be careful.

Here's a comparison: In the win over UPS, BE (who has my votes BTW) passed for LC's 8th TD of the game. Was that too much? I can't and won't say that, but the haters might (win the region four straight years -- which is within LC's realm of possibilities -- and watch the jealousies heat up, especially in your own league.) Indeed, I have no trouble with BE in there because it was the first series of the half.

But don't jump on SJU too easily. The Johnnies actually had more players get a touch on offense vs. an unbeaten team than LC did against perennial patsy UPS.

But I AM NOT SAYING LC RAN IT UP -- I'm just saying there are times -- i.e, first series of the third quartewr or after a cheap shot -- that one more series with the starters is worth it.

you know as well as everyone that JG likes to run it up.

the BE pass was :54 sc in the second half His last set of downs for the day..

today   35 in the 1st half  3 in second and this team is 0-7..

Did you think Sto was going to mount a comeback.. ;)

We can't wait to see you all in Mcminnville this Dec.

good luck with winning the scoring title..

And thanks for the votes...We/You know what  it is like to have a outstanding  Player Called (BE)  right..

of course Linfield will want to clean up the flags.  it just seems that this is more of an issue on the road than it is at the 'Catdome.

Also keep in mind that the Menlo game is playoff 'game film' game.  (last three games of the reg. season).  Maybe it's wise not to just show more of the playbook when you're up 35-0 at half vs an overmatched Menlo team.

'64....have a coke and relax.  Willamette is going to get slapped by the 'Cats
