My condolences to the UPS and Jacobson family.  Beau was a heck of a player in the conference.  Terrible news.

The rumor mill over on the Small College Oregon Live board has Linfield picking up a DI receiver from Nevada Reno.  According to the Board he is the fastest receiver on the team at 4.3, red shirted last season and was to be a big part of their offense this season.  Evidently the kid is homesick according to the rumor mill.  The last time the Cats had a DI transfer show up things were pretty OK in the Catdome.

Reno evidently is not pleased with the young man transferring!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Where's he from, '64?
Regardless, he ought to find Linfield to be a great home, just like that other transfer from a Nevada school did.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Wildcat'64

Coco,
His name is Forrest Rogers from Madison HS in Portland.  As we well know it's never a done deal until they put up  their deposit but evidently his admission application may be in progress.

Evidently he is a 2 sport athlete and wants to also play baseball and at the Division I level that simply is not possible.

In July, 2007 RIVALS.com reported that he was rated #1 in the SPARQ ratings (66.91) of all athletes in the greater Portland area for the 2008 class.

Time will only tell if he ends up as a Wildcat  the gossip guys are saying he's headed towards the Catdome and wants to get closer to home.  Maybe he also wants to be on a championship team also, who knows what is motivation is.

Hey '64.  We'll see if that is true or not but I'm sure the 'Cats will not turn down a burner.  Haven't been able to get out to spring ball this week but will be there next for sure!

Hi Cris,
All I can say is if its true we'll be yelling "run Forrest run" Forrest is a 6' 180 lb Fr. with the Wolfpack and should also be a fine addition to the baseball team.

So Lute News... (If it is old news, my appologies).

I was just contacted by PLU and informed that the capital campaign designated for a new "on campus" sports field was about complete.  It will be for Football, Lacrosse and Soccer and will be an all weather facility.

I was suprised, but happy about the possible new edition.  It will be sitting on some of the Golf Course Property.

WYD,

That is GREAT news for all of PLU.  I really think this will help enhance all of the NWC in terms of building interest for games that PLU will be able to host.  Good work PLU!

WYD:  Please don't tell us PLU is going to ruin a perfectly good football field by putting soccer lines on it.

Honestly, I don't really care about the soccer lines.  What are there, like 3 extra?  PLU has been doing a great job with facilities lately.  I am anxious to see the plans.  If I find them, I will share.

BTW....Catdomealumni.com's Linfield Legend series starts up next Monday.  A bit of a Hawaiian theme as two out of our four "Legends" are from the islands.

Be sure to catch up with the videos from the past three weeks.
