Willamette finally released their schedule last week.  Ten games for the third straight year.

9/5     @ Concordia-Morehead
9/12   vs. Cal Lutheran
9/19   @ Southern Oregon
9/26   vs. La Verne
10/3   vs. Whitworth
10/10 @ Lewis & Clark
10/17 vs. Pacific Lutheran
10/24 vs. Linfield
10/31 BYE
11/7   @ Puget Sound
11/14 @ Menlo

As a personal aside, it's been a very exciting couple of weeks for me.  I found out last week that I won the Oregon Newspaper Publishers Association award for Best Feature Story for my article on retiring basketball coach Gordie James.  I've also been hired to take over as Sports Editor for the Collegian next year, and apparently my football coverage was a big part of that decision.  So thanks to all of the posters here for the insight and analysis that you provide.  It's been an invaluable resource for me, and will continue to be so next year - since I plan on handling the football beat personally.

Nice job, buddy! That's good that you were promoted as well.
You deserved it. You contribute a lot to the board and I'm glad you're going to be back here, too.

WC11, I'm looking forward to the next Legends.

11,

Sorry, I did not intend to put words in your mouth. I often refer to my multiple personalities as a collective 'we'.

wyd,

You've heard more about the stadium drive than I have as a former player, and I can't find anything on the PLU website. I agree about the soccer lines - who cares? I know the Administration was not sold on the idea of a new stadium to host 4 or 5 football games a year (and - frankly - I can understand that thinking). It had no chance unless it was multi-purpose.

Dee...I was just screwing around.  Congrats on PLU getting new digs.

BearcatPress....hold on now, people even thought the GTO was hot stuff once.

No really! Congrats.

Now we can all takes bets if you'll quit school and go pro if you get offers. ;D

Run Forest Run!  Good one Swede

Props to BearcatPress and PLU!
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

How is Linfield going to do this year? This board is a little dead after 3 years of big promises and no action.  BTW...how did the spring practices go...haven't heard a word so I'm assuming we're in for another 6-3 or 5-4 season?

Press,

I'm not going to waste my time and I'm assuming others won't either.  Staff and players are working hard and expect great things in '09.  Go 'Cats!

Then I guess I'll put the popcorn away until OxyBob shows up before the Linfield/Oxy game. ;)
