Gig Harbor Cat

Cal Cat,
I am pretty sure we are going to trek down friday PM.  I will check with 11, he will be booking the flight out of PDX

Sounds like some early tailgate action friday night to me boys

Something just does not feel right about a man's freedom to make a job choice, does it?
That's an emotional reaction, I understand.
I'm sure he's fully cognizant of the slings and arrows that will be audible every time his headset is off. For the rest of his career.
Obviously the move was calculated to the schedule where WOU and LINFIELD do not play any more. Otherwise that would be inviting disaster.

Gee, 11, that creates an opening, does it not?

Yeah that does create an opening and I hope we can find a Linfield guy to fill the position.  I'm not too worried about it and I'll be looking forward to a fresh voice in the booth.

At least someone in that cranky WOU stadium might give a flyin' flip when the Bemidji State - Incarnate Word score is repeatedly given.

I vote for someone who can bring a wireless connection with them and get actual score updates from other games rather than 2 hour old updates! :)
Go Cats!

I nominate Bluenote.

I don't think they allow that kind of verbiage on the radio. Especially when the other team scores.....  ;D  Plus I'd probably spill my coffee all over LinfieldBeanCounter and fry his computer.

....but thanks coco!

It would deprive Eve of her job if she didn't get sent out for old scores every so often.

I'm sure they'd figure out something else for her..."Eve go get us some doughnuts at the next break! " (no disrespect intended)
Go Cats!

With Whitworth and Linfield both playing the projected #2 in the ASC in the first 2 weeks of the season, it will definitely set the stage for regional bragging rights.

Hardin-Simmons could be looking at an 0-2 start.   ;)

Looks like the pregame cyber trash talk about the upcoming Linfield-HSU game is heating up on the ASC board with WC11 responding to claims by ASC posters that the Cowboys are "flat out better" than the Wildcats!  Go WC11!

WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Yeah, the pre-season polls are fun to talk about but they really don't mean anything in regards to the upcoming season.  The only poll that really matters is the one that is rolled out after the Stagg.

Wildcat11....when does the NWC Coaches Poll come out....that will be interesting considering there will be 3-4 teams in the conference that will be on the upswing/in the mix for the top spot this year. (PLU, Willamette, Linfield and Whitworth) ....who knows, UPS may have a fairly decent team also and Menlo is still the mystery team.

Not sure.  I know that Steve Flegel is lurking somewhere out here...maybe he could give us an idea.  I think the coaches will give Willamette the benefit of the doubt from last year's performance.  The conference is going to be damn tough this year with all the conference's youth coming into maturity.  Looking forward to seeing how the 'Cats respond.
