What a difference in halves yesterday for Whitworth.  I will be interested to talk to those who were there to get the inside scoop.  The Pirates have some good things to build on, but will have to work on being able to finish it out.

Here's to a win next week at LaVerne.

My goodness...did I see that correctly? Willamette drops off the face of the map after a loss to a great MIAC Team? Wow...that means if Linfield beats UHS ...they will be number 3?    ;D  What a crazy world!

Pat Coleman

I think the result reflects some lingering doubts voters had about Willamette and what they lost from last year's team. Keith and I are going to discuss that in the podcast.

The team that beat Willamette didn't jump into the No. 8 spot and I suspect if Linfield beats HSU then Linfield won't jump into the No. 3 spot either. But it'll be a big move up, depending on what else happens.

Concordia-Moorhead and Linfield are probably in similar preseason positions in a lot of voters' minds -- each teams that have been Top 25 good in the past and weren't considered such right now. But it's easy for a voter to think that those teams could get back to that kind of form.

No Question about that!

Well it's a little bit outdated now, but my Willamette season previews are up on the Collegian's website:

For the record, the headline in the print edition reads "lead" as opposed to "elad." ::)

Just checked the NWC pick 'em standings after one week and it's good to see that Mack is in 2nd place!  My collie, Maddy, didn't fair as well but she's more into fetch than football.  Curious to see what their Linfield/HSU picks will be this week.

How does the film deal work.  Does the NCAA have guidelines or strict rules about
the amount of (time) film, the elevations of the shots, # of camera locations etc.

When are the recieving teams guaranteed to have the film in hand...or not!?

Does the team being recorded have an obligation to provide certain elements of film to thier next opponent based on NCAA criteria or is there another control?

I need an education please.  (on so many topics, but this will due for now  :-\)

Ditto, but any one who votes with their head and not their heart would have to pick the Texans.

Anyone who believes LINFIELD can beat anyone in the 'dome , if they don't give it away like recent big games, will be looking for a friendly wager.

I'm looking for a wager.

Is this why you picked your moniker?

I did poorly on your quiz.

The NCAA doesn't regulate video exchange.

Conferences usually have their own rules for exchange between conference teams. Nonconference opponents sometimes deal with it in the game contract.

Good luck to the NWC this week!

I look forward to now being part of the board.  Been a long time lurker of the board.  I promise to watch my spelling and not just come on the board after my team has a great week.

I'm a wildcat fan first and foremost but will do my best to be unbiased where necessary.

The Cats have a great opportunity to put themselves back on the map this weekend.  I truly "believe' they can do it.
