Hey Dens,
I did hear from the boys that you were out of control in the South endzone.  Not surprising since you were a charter member of the South Forty back in the day !!

Hey How About Them Cats.

Great Game. I can't believe how sharp everyone was. No first game jitters. Calm cool and collective. Them Cats are cool. Even the new kicker missed one but then he was nails. Can't wait for next week.

Nice to see everyone. Great Day.

Glad you had a good time at the game PPJ. Looks like the cats have everything together. May the rest of the season be as good.

Desert Cat,
I  don't know what's the problem in the rest of the country.  The CatsEye and audio worked great in Alaska and Arizona...so I guess the rest of the country better head North or South if they want to catch Cat football this season.  The O Line and D Line were magnificent.  Watch out next week when the AA O Lineman who sat out yesterday is back...if it works like yesterday Boehm will be able to take a nap while waiting for the receivers to get free to catch those purple frizbees.  Kudos also to the running backs who are holding onto the rock this year.....what a pleasant change to have such a balanced attack.

The Cats Are Back!!!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Good first game showing from the cats on a very good cowboy team that we could see later on this year???

Hopefully!  We need to get healthy quick!  Feaster and Robbins on the sidelines would be a huge blow to the offense.  Losing a preaseason all-american corner and our other starting corner week 1 doesn't help matters either.

Even with everyone healthy, I think Saturday would have been Linfield's day.  Coach Keeling described it in the Abilene Reporter News as a "good old fashioned country whoopin'."   It sounds like your offensive and defensive lines were pretty dominant.  You also have to be pleased with the play of your secondary.

One last thanks for the 4 game series.  It was great!  You definitely have the respect of this HSU fan.  Hopefully we can meet for game five later this year to break the tie!

Right back at you, Weak Safety. It's been a great series! I have a ton of respect for both programs for scheduling each other. I hope your boys are okay, and that we do meet again.

The ADvantage will have some player post-game interviews later today.  I was very happy for the players and staff yesterday.  They played exceptionally well.  While one game does not make a season...it was still a hell of a start!

Want to give a big thanks to the "Catdome Iron" tailgate crew who did a great job in slinging Catdomealumni.com shirts yesterday while I was filming.  It was a HUGE help and WC11 is very greatful.

I'll agree with B-Press...The 'Cats are not back because they never went anywhere but I get while the loyal Cats are saying that....that was the best the 'Cats have looked in a few years and I don't think it was fluke.  This team has the ability to play at the level and improve through this season.

Hope the injuries for all the teams were not serious and the kids can all get back on the field in a hurry.

Oh yeah, the shirts!
They were selling like hotcakes, and I saw several people wearing theirs at the game, even some guys with the heart one. PPJ was helping out, and he's quite the salesman. It was good to see the whole gang back, and the eats were delicious, but we did miss GHC and old blue.
It's a good thing you are doing with the shirts, WC11.

You got some good video during the game, it appeared.

I'm still revved up just thinking about it. Boehme was a thing of beauty. The O-line was strong. The defense. Someone else said it -- it was like we were in mid-season form.

Welcome, grouchygramps

Make sure you all go to the Oregonlive.com article and comment on the article.  The more people comment the better....it shows that people want the Oregonian to cover small college ball in the state.

What a great Wildcat victory yesterday.
News Register write up.
I haven't been so impressed with Linfield since the Whitewater game. Can you think of a better way to start a new season?  This is going to be a good one.

As well as we did yesterday who knows but what we might do even better in the Oxy game on Friday.

Great game yesterday! Well worth 550 miles of driving! Very impressed with hard running, line play, and NO FUMBLES! It's been a while since we have had that kind of performance.

link to the Abeline Reporter News article about the game just in case you wondered about the other side's take on it.

PA, I'll give you a +K for driving 550miles to the game.  That's the least I can do.

Just guessing but does the PA stand for Palo Alto?

Sorry for the delay, but last night had PC problems. >:( :(

O.K. The Tux take on the game..........

First I have a Question, is Coach Nagel calling the plays this year?
If so great job!! And maybe it's the balanced attack that is making the
play calling easier. Which ever the case, the Cats had the Cowboys
number all day.

What can you say about the "O" line but super job. Boehme ( I mean "The Rocket Man") had all day to throw, and the few times he was under pressure he stepped up and found a wide open outlet man.

Going in, the Cats knew the Cowboys could put up points, The "D" was solid all day long. They basically had a shut out the second half, giving up the Td with 0 time on the clock and 2nd and 3rd string getting some playing time.

As others have said, I too hope the injuries to both sides are not serious and the boys are back on the field soon.  I want to say thank you to the Cowboy faithful.
This has been a great series, and thanks for the games. Maybe Redlands and the other SCIAC ( Thank you OXY) will get their Phones fixed and answer our calls for some games!!!

   IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A WILDCAT!!       7/24/365
