I guess if you use the Acorn standard then yes it part of the performing arts.

Score, GHC!

The newsguys said the H1N1 was hitting young people the hardest so it's understandable that you got it.

Good thing you're healthy so you can represent us 'Cats who can't make it to the Oxy game.

We'll be listening to the D&T show, which sounds weird to say.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Nihon Tiger

The Bucket is another great burger place on Eagle Rock Blvd. close to the school, although it's not a great place to bring a large group because it actually is about the size of a bucket.  Of course my recommendation is a scallop burrito with either horchata or a Corona at Senor Fish, also on Eagle Rock.  Either would be a good pregame choice.

Postgame get some authentic Mexican food at either Leo's or Sonia's taco trucks.  Leo's is west of Oxy on Eagle Rock blvd. and Sonia's is East on the same street.  Get a chicken quesadilla or a torta.

Oh and speaking of H1N1, here in Japan they are quite frightened of it.  Three kids in my school got it, and they made every single student and teacher in the school wear those medical masks for a week.  If you've never seen 500 Japanese HS kids in masks and uniforms in an auditorium, I can assure you it's quite creepy.  The funny thing is that it's milder than regular flu!

We will be dropping  loads of purple frisbees all over the Oxy area Pre Game.

-those of you with limited time of 1 hour to do touristy things might simply take Eagle Rock Blvd. (west of the stadium) north to Colorado Blvd. and turn east (right) and take a trip across the Arroyo Seco Bridge (best viewed from in the canyon 100 feet below but at least you can say you were on it).;)
Sometimes referred to as "Suicide Bridge".

You may want to remember that if the loss is too hard to take. :'(

GHC: Have you and 11 booked your room at the Hotel California?  Sounds like a good weekend trip to SoCal.  TDT wishes he could be there for a couple In n Out Double Doubles.  BTW: This is a classic "letdown" or "trap" game for the 'Cats.  A win would show me a lot...
Chasing MILFs since '82...

Hey Grouchygramps and Nihon Tiger welcome to the board.

Nihon- I know you were a tiger for 4years but you are still a NorCal Kid. So go with your heart on who you want to win the game. Glad things are good in Japan.

Grouchygramps- You are the best Grandpa in the world. Glad you are on the boards and the trip in October will be great.

GHC- We will be in L.A. around 2 or 3. Email me your cell phone number and lets get together before the game.

Peace Out

Hey TDT,
All I can tell you is that this is game 2 for the Cats.  Anything more than that will be taken care of between the lines on Sat Night.

While Linfield-Occidental will be the marquee game of the week between ranked opponents, Whitworth-Redlands will say a lot about two potential contenders for their respective conference titles.  From the Bulldogs' season preview:

"The Bulldogs travel to Spokane for game two against perennial Northwest Conference title contender Whitworth University (WA). Following last season's 38-7 loss to Redlands, look for the Pirates to be foaming at the mouth and seeking revenge against the Bulldogs in a highly anticipated rematch. Led by longtime head coach John Tully and preseason All-American Adam Anderson, Whitworth promises to test the Maroon and Gray in their early showdown."

It should be worth the price of admission to see Coach Tully and the 'Rats "foaming at the mouth" even if Anderson is not 100%.  And for the Wildcat faithful (read WC11), "Coach Maynard strives to achieve his goals by competing against the best opponents." After all, "the Bulldogs . . . led the nation in rush defense during the 2008 season."  Wildcat offense against Bulldog defense would seem to be a game made in feline/canine heaven.   Maybe next year.

To our southern Feline Friends...
thanks to the powers that be who scheduled Saturday's one and done. An act of risk and reward. I do not for a moment believe it had anything to do with 3 consecutive LINFIELD play-off fades while you did your job in the SCIAC. I believe you stepped up when LINFIELD had scheduling, well, problems.
I know what you're thinking: "It's going to be different this time."
I agree.
This time you can have your lunch handed to you at home.

Sincerely,

DO.C.

Whatever Maynard.  Is he going to bring up the knife he used to stab Whitworth in the back after the 2007 playoff snub?
