Wow, the 'Rats need to do some serious soul searching. This is the second year in a row they have been knocked out of being in the playoffs by a team late in the season that most NWCers thought they should beat. This time on their home field with a two score lead in the second half. No excuses for that. It's too bad Whitworth doesn't get a chance to show everyone how good they are because they have some very talented players. But if they can't win these types of games, they don't deserve to and some other team does.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

desertcat1,

Your boy could probably use a few longies about now. Ouch!

Good game between the old and young 'Cats today. Tom Sybouts hasn't lost his enthusiasm.

For those of you who weren't there, this was one of those days when it is so darn good to have that new turf, so that we can just keep playing and playing on it, even in this lousy weather. We are fortunate to have such a fine field.

COCO,,

Don't tell anyone but I think he was hurting before the game started. ;D  As long as he did not get beat deep it's ok..  ;)  I see some long hours to shut down  the fly this week..

He managed to make a solo..
Sounds like you all had a good time.. See you  for the playoffs..

Well, it's only about 4 hours after the Alumni/JV game and my body is already sore as hell.  The next 4-5 days are going to stink but it was all worth it.

The weather was probably the worse I've seen at the 'Catdome in a long time.  Just poured the whole game with a strong wing for the whole second half.

I would have liked to pulled it off but the yound kids did a great job in hanging tough and coming through late.  I'm excited about the future of Linfield football.

Great playing with all of you Alumni Players.

Now let's get ready to party at Catdome South next weekend!

That was soooo cool to watch the JV play the alumni team today! Man was it miserable though with the rain and wind. Man, I got completely soaked just walking from my car to the CatDome. Wildcat11 and all the alumni were total studs out there. They kind of looked like a pro team and would have been even better if they actually had a couple practices..... I really still think they ought to get together a team and play semi=pro during the summer in the same league as the Portland Thunderbolts, etc. I would go watch them believe me. That would be a kick in the butt! and to have the CatDome as their home field would be unbeliveable....plus some of the teams out of the Seattle area have been pretty studly lately.

Wow, River must be getting excited now....Willamette beat Whitworth. I thought Whitworth would beat them but you all know how shifty Willamette is....this is going to be good next week. I can't wait to go to the Bar - b que Pit before the game for a roast pork sandwich and grub beans to take to the game!!! Willamette will have a shot at a playoff spot if they beat Linfield and if they beat Linfield, Linfield may not have home field through the playoffs like they did last year....will the Wildcats be ready for work? This will be the biggest test of the year.....!!!!!

Great job CAT Alumni.  I enjoyed the event,  MAX effort all day.  Lots of big hits by the salty D.  Our young Cats showed promise against this star studded lineup,  In case anyone wonders about how we will be after the 05 season, here it is

WC11,

Didn't it feel great to get out there and get some hits in? You guys looked good, and seeing the young kids play like they did does make us feel warm and fuzzy about the future of Wildcat football. The Streak won't end soon.

Did The Butcher get updated after the Menlo game?
