Ditto on the library. It is one fine facility. I utilize it often.

A series with HSU would be great. Would be nice to watch the Cats drub UMHB's chief ASC rival.  8)

I wouldn't go too overboard about a game until the contract is signed, and it's my understanding no contract has been signed for that series.

Uh.... downtown, you are Linfield educated.   You've seen enough Linfield boxscores.  You've read the media guide/game program.  You've been to the Linfield website.     You know how to spell peoples' names.    This isn't exactly a transparent way to take a shot at somebody.  But hey, I'm all for opinions....

WYD....thanks for the PLU preview.  Didn't know that McCord has changed jobs in the program.  It was great having him down here during the playoffs last year as the NCAA game rep.  Great guy.

Classes started today at blessed alma mater.  Generally, practice is now at 3pm the rest of the way, barring some sort of special event.  There is a scrimmage on Saturday morning.

Since we all seem to be hungry for a game....who do people like on Saturday....Willamette or Western Oregon??

And Beancounter...honest to god, I didn't intentionally mispell your boys name, I promise.  I really was wondering how it was going.  But you are right, when the Cat's put up 50 every week I should have seen his name more often I guess.  I will say I don't spend much time on him when I scan the box score...

OK, downtown......I'll take your word for it.  It's best that way anyhow.  All I know is that you've gotten after GW from time to time.   We've never had a perfect kicker yet at Linfield, and never will....because if they are *that* good, they'd be on a scholarship someplace else.

It is my opinion that placekickers draw way too much attention.  My hope is that John Dailey, GW and the other guys who are still out there have a spirited and good competition.   I know the coaches will choose the right guy on Saturday.

Fair enough...you're right, a little competition is always good...it usally brings out the best in the athletes which will be great for the team!! 

I'm still waiting for a report on any trick plays we might be saving for PLU...pdawg??

My sources say that the new guy (kicker) is MONEY As for WU in the opener, actually I would like for them to play UMHB close then when we close WU out by a +31 or more it will give us a guage for post season.

  I read the article on the Lutes and WOW they say this is the year to reload but it looks pretty skinny for your boys.  Are you sure you don't have an extra year available to help the boys out They may need some help on D.

Stumbled upon the movie Indecent Proposal tonight and Demi Moore is sporting a Linfield tank top.  It's pretty cool looking.  Well, maybe just cause she's wearing it.

48...thanks for the info. I was thinking maybe they had been practicing real early in the morning or something. The other thing I was thinking was maybe they are practicing on grass somewhere. But there is a huge grass field already next to the CatDome that is readily available. Anyway...that makes sense.

In regard to the kicker. I tend to agree with Beancounter. The kicker may not be that much of a factor this year. We're going to be putting up tons of points so we won't need to punt much or have field goals. So it will be more like playing Super Mario Party for the kicker.

Hey DT48,
Did notice a couple of things in practice that might interest you. First, the CATS were working on a play where Elliott returns the snap to Donaldson who behind some great pass protection from Elliott, drops back and gives (on the ol statue of liberty) to the TE who in turn tosses it deep to Haz...money! Secondly, on more serious note, the kickers are doing fine. Dailey has been bangin in some money shots from the 55 yard range. Impressive. Finally, I do believe a contract has been signed with Hardin-Simmons. This is a true example of how the CATS step up against the best when not many teams, if any beyond HS, were willing to step up against the CATS for whatever reasons. SCIAC schools looked the other direction. Oh well...lots of positive reports coming in from camp!
