I think a guy that went both ways!? any guys like that on the squad this year?

Well we do have a #4 on offense and a #4 on defense that are both pretty good.  :)

Ahh duplicate #'s ... The Lu has no need for those this year, travel roster baby!

I think it was number 3 that I saw back in the day making plays on both sides of the ball...Might have to scan through your old highlight reels to confirm.

Yeah that would be Brandon Hazenberg who was a beast.  In fact, a highlight clip of Brandon was one of the very first clips I've ever put together in 2006 and it was pretty bad work on my part but you get the idea.  http://www.catdomealumni.com/embedvids/hazenberg.html

I like it, beastly.

Just put my new rain gear in the hot rod.  I know the tailgate crew just got a new tarp system for the tailgate area, so we are good to go on Sat.  I plan on heading to the Catdome on Friday night.  I think 11 and I have a pre game insider information meeting planned at the Deluxe with a double D and a pitcher or two-- And those are not baseball pitchers my man

ROCKETMAN and the boys are ready for the second season I am sure.

Lets rock the Catdome on Sat.

:o :o :o

Yeah, I listen to Canzano's show on my way home everyday and he's been on the Speckman tip for a LONG time.  It seems that Speckman is constantly flirting with leaving just about every year.

If you haven't seen it, here is the "seeding" info., or lack thereof.   Weird stuff going on at the NCAA.

George...from what I've seen..and you have done some ground work on this...it looks like right now, unless things get clarified further....that all the home games this year are based on .....bids...whoever got the high bid and filled out the paperwork? That's what it seems like to me....? That makes it rather difficult for home teams to plan and prepare and get organized.....crazy IMHO.

Flirts with leaving or gets better offers?  Wow, imagine a football coach wanting to coach a team that can give out 85 athletic scholarships instead of begging scholar athletes to come play at his school . . .   Didn't the Linfield head coach do that a few years back?   Maybe he just wants a new challenge?  Whatever happens, if Speck leaves for PSU, I hope he doesn't take all the younger coaches with him, although he has a right to because he built that program.  I wish him the best, whatever he decides.  Sure am glad Pacific didn't hire Fowles!

Sorry I won't be at the game this Saturday, but I have another commitment & I also heard it's supposed to be nasty & raining!!  I'm pretty sure Linfield will win and get another home game -- as it should be.  GO NWC--go other "Cats"!

Sorry to be the one to tell you -- GI Joe's went bankrupt & closed all of their stores.  Lucky for you there's usually a Dick's Sporting Goods in the same place that Joe's used to be!   There's a Columbia Outlet Store in Woodburn if you're coming from the south or Fred Meyer's just about anywhere -- you can pick up some beer & rain gear & be all set.

we're looking forward to seeing you, DC1. It's been too long.

Hey DC1, I'm thinking of bringing a pancho or maybe a little Hawaiian Sun. I don't mind a little rain, but with a wind chill of 45??? Sheeesh, it's 45 in my fridge!

Bluenote,

You are right.   That is the only thing that makes sense of this mess.   But, in these economic times, I suppose that is the logical thing for the NCAA to do.    We don't particularly like it, but the NCAA is going to watch the budget closely.

DC1,
My plan is to have some rain gear packed in my hot rod, along with the blue Longie machine.  that way even if it does rain we won't care.  We can just chill and have longies and maybe some chowder !!!  Oh yea and some of Mrs Coco's cookies :D

Back in the day, when Linfield was NAIA, the playoffs were all based on bidding to host.  Linfield and PLU must have known how to do a good job of bidding, or they knew they could sell out and make the NAIA a lot of money.  If it comes down to a bidding war this year the only thing Linfield has against it is a smallish stadium.
