I've gotta believe that our experienced playoff coaching staff will be the big difference in this upcoming battle with the Tommies.  I don't care how talented the Tommies and coaches are.....they don't have much experience.  Experience Score:
Wildcats - Very Experienced
Tommies - Little Experience

Heard that argument two weeks in a row now. Results have been the same: UST Monkeystomp.

ADvantage Catdome = Linfield/UMHB Post Game Interviews - Defense

-WC11's game recap will come out right around 1pm.

TDT,

Mrs. 11 thinks you're a stalker but I assured her that you'll fit in well with all the Linfield folks.  You're welcome to stay with us and GHC but we're a little boring and like to eat early (6pm at the Deluxe).  If you can handle that then you're are most welcome to stay with the 11's.

So you are projecting that UST will MonkeyStomp Linfield in the CatDome?

Absolutely not. But I'm anticipating you won't be getting as many gifts as UMHB gave you.

Those were not gifts...those were created turnovers by getting helmets and hands on the ball.  Linfield made their own luck on Saturday.

However, UST puts a premium on ball security so I'm not expecting the UST offense putting themselves in bad situations.

BTW, nice little article but you guys may want to chime in the posting section where a couple of posters are bashing someone being more interested in Linfield over the Civil War.

Cat fans:
Was there any local tv coverage of the game? Was it being telecast in the area? Back in 2005 I purchased a broadcast dvd from CCTV located in Salem, Oregon of the Linfield vs. Occidental game. If they are available this may be a game that some fans would want to buy.

AFAIK, CCTV doesn't do live broadcasts. They tape all the Willamette home games and show them on one of their 2-3 channels on Comcast on Sunday night.

They did put together a DVD of WU's undefeated season last year and offered it for sale.

Ok GHC time to pass the collection plate.  Your biggest 'Cat fan in the MIAC...OneArmedScot...has informed TDT that he can't make the trip as the flights to Portland are north of $900.  I know you 'Cat fanatics will do just about anything to get OAS out to slobber all over your squad.  Make it happen!

Next, TDT has facetiously been referred to as USTTDT during this postseason for my prediction that the Tommies would beat the Johnnies in Round 2 in Cville.  We all know the J's didn't even make it to Round 2.  On Saturday, I was at St. Thomas watching the Tommies dismantle Coe (along with several Johnnies).  It was a vicious, cruel, and brutal beatdown.  Man vs Child so to speak.  I've seen the Tommies play 4 times this season.  TDT knows how you like insider info GHC.  Your main man TDT has the dirt on the Tommies.

Lastly, I am on the fence right now as far as an appearance in McMinnville (lots of miles).  Things that could sway the decision include Will 11 roll out the red carpet for TDT?  Are the girls pretty in Oregon?  Will Kelly Bird give TDT a press credential for his reporting with JohnnieFootball.com? and How much cold beer will 11 have in his fridge?

TDT.  Where do you fly out of? According to Kayak.com (my ticket search engine of choice) there are tickets for $550 from MSP to PDX.

Perhaps I should've  said "regular season" - which, btw, included a 52-28 Wildcat Monkey Stomp at the Catdome!

TDT considers only first class, well, business class if it's a small carrier.

Embrace the present. :)

BTW, I see where Speckman is a finalist for the Portland State job.  The funniest part is see so many posters say they don't want him because he's only 2-9 vs. Linfield.

Most people who "big-time" college football rubes have never seen a DIII game, so they have no basis for comparison. DIII fans can always place things in a more accurate context because it's hard to find anyone who hasn't seen a "big-time" college football game.

Agreed, I had never attended a non D1 game until 2000, and the in game experience for me is actually superior. Fewer interruptions, less commercialism, and the people generally better. Could care less about the difference in level of competition.  I attended a Big 10 game this season, and it's just like the NFL. I'm a big pro football fan, but it's discouraging to see D1 sharing the same experience.
Another advantage the other levels of college football offer, is the old fashioned method of actually settling a champion on the field. I never played the game, but it would drive me crazy as a player to have a perfect season like TCU and Boise State, and have the chance for a national title denied by some idiotic formula.
