Just got home from another round of late night of meetings.... you gotta love my job... anyway on the way home I was thinking when was the last time a team that was 12-0 had beaten 6 teams that were ranked in the top 25 when they played them??  (Hardin-Simmons #4, Occidental #22, Willamette #17, Cal Lutheran #22, Mary Hardin Baylor #7 and St. Thomas #10)

I don't know how the game will turn out this weekend but in any book that is one hell of a run. This is a GREAT team!!

GO CATS!!!

....In fact, if the "Rocketman" is good enough to overcome that, maybe you should officially change his nickname to:  "THE BIG DIFFERENCE"   :D
very well... THE BIG DIFFERENCE is going to make a big difference this week! :)

I have one question about a ref call in the game that maybe someone can answer for me:
When we ran onto the field in punt formation late in the game why did the official stand over the ball after it had already been whistled into play?  I know in the NFL you have to allow for the other team to substitute if you make a substitution, does the same rule apply in college?
Good question Bubs, I was wondering the same thing.
I had to leave the webcast with a few minutes left in the game, so can anyone fill me in on what happened on the much talked about 4th down.  Did you fake it or what?

The Cats had 4th and long. Too far for a field goal and too short really for a punt. I thought they were going to take a delay, move back 5 and punt. Instead the Cats called timeout and then lined up for a punt. UST had their return team in, when suddenly the Cats exchanged the entire crew and the offense ran onto the field. UST scrambled to get a D onto the field and Linfield completed a pass to Patterson for a 1st down and were then able to take knees to end the game

Has UWW been behind in a game at all this season?

Never cris ~ the closest was a tie at 7 with Lakeland before the 'hawks ripped off 63 straight.

Doesn't matter what UWW did all season. Doesn't matter what the Cats did all season.  We didn't play each other.  Two excellent teams will play saturday. The team that plays the best and makes fewest mistakes will win.  I think that's why we tee it up and butt heads.

Looks like Speckman can get his a** handed to him by Linfield for a few more years at Willamette. Portland St. going to name Nevada D Coordinator their head coach today.

Yes, thats why you play the game but before then we get to analyze and over analyze. Call it our pregame.

It's a good time its freezing this week, it will give the Cats a chance to practice in friged weather.

Well...........he did ask the question.  Like, BoBo, I assumed he wanted an answer.   ??? ::)

Wasn't really refering to the stats so much as the smack about rocketman.
This far into the playoffs I can't immagine there's a huge difference in talent.  There's a reason these four teams are stil playing, and it's no fluke.  GO CATS!

That's not always been the case - '05 & '06 (Wesley/UWW) and '07 (MUC/Bethel) easily come to mind.

btw, where was the smack about rocketman in my post?  ???  ::)

Cat Dad,

That is a very interesting observation that 6 of the Cats opponents have been ranked in the Top 25 when they played in the 12 straight victories.  Pretty damn good for the "no name team"!  If fact, I wonder if any of the other  Final Four can match that record in beating 6 Top 25 ranked teams in their 13 victories this season?

GO CATS.....LEAVE NO DOUBT

Hey, I thought this board was supposed to be about bla bla bla ;D

I heard a rumor that the Cats were praticing at 4AM under the lights to get the benefit of the extra cold...any truth to that rumor? ::) :o

The No Name Team....maybe it should be The Cat With No Name....so we can all sing along to the tune of The Horse With No Name....We can just rework a few words here and there.

Bobo, those teams didn't have the experience at that level, especially Bethel...although I'm now beginning to think that Wesley has got to be giving MUC a run for their money this year...I would'nt be surprised to see them shock the Raiders.

BoBo It wasn,t your post.  It was bleedpurple.  Guess I'll have to figure out how to quote, before I get my ass kicked
