I've read that Broehme (a.k.a Rocketman, The Big Difference and The Difference) ;) is a senior with junior eligibility and I was wondering what the story was.  Was he a redshirt, grayshirt, medical, didn't play a year?

Note, I'm not being critical of it.  I'm just curious what the deal was.

Broke his collarbone in the first game of the 2008 season vs HSU.  Took a medical red shirt.  From what I understand is that he'll be back next season.

Thanks, my curiousity is satisfied.
That's a break for Linfield.  He'll probably be even better next year.

Don't remind us ...
But you guys have 2 QB's with 3 years (?) left...

Last I heard, Ryan Whitcomb is planning on playing next year as well - as a Graduate student (attending the School of Education?). Will be interesting to see who earns the starting QB spot.

Can that guy even walk anymore?  Just kidding--good for him if he makes it back.  I hope they brace every joint in his body to protect him!

D O.C.

The pole vault comment reminded me a question I meant to ask in August.
Josh Lovell and Jeremy Lovell who finished 1-2 in the men's decathlon at the NCAA Division III Championships last spring were both (?) on the football roster last year? No more for them? Concentrating on Track & Field?

After you fix your frozen water pipes, take in some more wave action from the North Shore

http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/more-big-wave-drama-from-the-quiksilver-in-memory-of-eddie-aikau_39302/

Speaking of frozen water pipes:  For the first time in 6 years we had water in our basement this week (I know, who in California has a basement?).  Then, last night I arrive home to find our shower/bathroom window is cracked and the only explanation I can think of is that it was cold and then the heat of the morning shower caused it to crack (the way it cracked did not suggest anything hit it). So I'm starting to think that maybe I'm not actually in Southern California anymore...maybe the world is trying to get me into a "colder" mood for Saturdays game....

Blame it on global warming.  ;D

Dens,

They haven't been on the roster for three years.  They played their Frosh year in 2006 and decided to focus on T&F after that.
