as someone who rarely makes predictions mine almost came back to bite me in the arse...great team without a doubt...Linfield belongs...and they sounded very young...they will be back I'm sure...WW gave me a scare with their lack of offense in the redzone today...and I started thinking how we are playing terrible...but then I realized that against great teams those things will happen...

congrats on a great season and best of luck next year!!!

Deja vu all over again!  :(

Congrats on a great season Wildcats.  I wanted to see y'all face Mount, but UWW did what was necessary.  Good game.  Hope to see y'all next year.  Does Linfield play HSU again?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Cats played very well.  Boehme is terrif.

Congrats on a great season, Catdomers.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

CAT BAT 22

Anyone know off the top of their head what players/how many do we lose to graduation off this team?

"You don't have to throw the ball to beat Linfield."

Never said that. I said, "you don't have to throw the ball to beat LAKELAND."

Pay attention. If you go in assuming everyone is against you you're going to miss what is actually said.

Pat,

I heard you say loud and clear today that Linfield's 6-3 records the past three years have not been indicative of how strong a team we've actually been. You pointed out that we've had some key injuries, and that we've played some tough opponents, like HSU and D2 and NAIA scholarship schools.

Not trying to be a suck-up here, but thanks for the on-air acknowledgment of the 'Cats.

Pat I thought you did a great job.  Your partner started out sounding like a Whitwater Homer but as the game went on and he realized that the Cats were gonna compete he was more even (IMO).  Anyway, good coverage of the game and it was a good game to cover!
Go Cats!

 >:(It was a good game, but good games are just that good games. We didn't win. 20 to 17, that was probably the closest any team has played them all year. I am going to say one thing before I get out of here, and you probably wont hear from me until next football season. You have to dance with the guy who brought you to the dance. We didn't pound the rock, and we forgot all about the dance.

Was anyone else scratching their head on the phantom FALSE START call that was made in the 4th quarter... Cats had the ball on the 50 1st and 10... the WW left DE kept playing after the whistle and sacked Boehme and nothing got called.  It was either a VERY late false start or a late hit that wasn't called, or BOTH??

snoop dawg

Pat....when i finally got the feed to work, I really enjoyed your commentary and thought you were spot on.

I said it on the game board but, congrats to the Cats on a great season.  With the MU Qb out, it almost ensures a NC for UWW.  Thats the worst part about the loss today for me.

This year was the last for current contract.  We picked up CALU and LaVerne for next year.

This was another classic Linfield - Whitewater game. While very different in style than the 2005 contest in Mac, it was clearly two VERY good teams hammering on each other. It was an enjoyable game to watch (except for the outcome) as both teams struggled at times in the face of outstanding opponents.

No reason to hang heads. Disappointed? Of course! But our Cats played very well against a very good team in a game that could have gone the other way. I walked the sidelines all game (up above the visitor bleachers which was mostly populated by Whitewater fans). Many times they would shake their heads and say "Linfield is lot better team than we thought." During the parking lot tailgating scene befoe the game, the Whitewater fans were gracious and friendly. Had some great chats with several of them.

It was a great run this year. Congrats to our Cats. I'm already fired up for next year.
