Here is next year's Linfield football schedule:

Why are there two games in So. Calif?    Couldn't they have been alternated those two games, home and away, between 2010 and 2011?     Is it because it is so tough to schedule those SCIAC schools, that they dictate the rules?

Also, why do we not alternate PLU and UPS games, so we don't have to go to Tacoma area twice in one year?

George

Wish Willamette could have been Homecoming...better game to rally the base and better chance for good golf weather ;D

Perusing that 2010 LINFIELD schedule ...
I don't think we should have to pass the hat. You'd think that the NCAA would know a good thing and underwrite LINFIELD vs. University of Wisconsin (Whitewater) as "Student Athlete Game of the Week" or similar. They both have open dates September 18, 2010.

Again, another really front loaded schedule with CalLu and Willamette all in the first three weeks.  What should be said is congratulations to the athletic department for our first ever pure D3 schedule!  Awesome work!  Granted two trips down to LA isn't ideal but it wasn't too long along where we almost had ZERO D3 non-conference games.  Already looking forward to it!  Go 'Cats!

Fixed that for DOC, CalCat, and myself.

Wanted to say thanks, wildcat11, for all the work you do for the Cats.  It was such a pleasure to meet you the other year when I was out in McMinnville.  What a fantastic place!!  Your zeal for the game allows a lot of us to enjoy the games and Linfield atmosphere when we can't be there in person!!!  I'm hoping to come out again, but am hoping that you'all will be coming to Virginia (Salem specifically) next year!!  That's one of my Christmas wishes!!!  :) :) :)

I don't think you'll have any problems rallying the base, considering it's your first home game of the season.  In October. :o

Never a problem rallying base with Willamette...was referring to our Homecoming game with Pacific and just thinking Homecoming would be better with Willamette

Great piece 11.  Keep up the outstanding work!

It looks like we have some major size comming back next year on both lines. How many have significant playing time?

As always 11... nice work!

6t3,

I think the defensive line next season will really be outstanding (along with the entire defense).  We are really losing four major piece on the offensive line.  When I say four, I'm including our TE Sells.  Russell may not have had a ton of receptions but he was huge in the running game as a fantastic blocking tight end and did a bunch of the unseen dirty work.  Kyle O, Millenbach, Buck, and Sells are big losses.  I'm very confident in the up-and-comers on the o-line but there are always questions until they get on the field and perform.

Who do think the likely up-and comers will be on the O-Line?
