Wow. Just watched (really!) Cortland State and Ithaca play a game that went into overtime via video webcast. I was expecting the feed to be jumbled and hard to watch. It wasn't, it was clear as could be and so was the sound. I couldn't believe it! Even if playoff broadcasts wouldn't be allowed, you out of town 'Cat fans would love something like this during the regular season. Heck, any fan in the NWC or D3 who can't make it to the games would enjoy watching their team on the web. The kids in the communication department would have a field day on something like this and also gain valuable experience. I have no idea how expensive this would be, even if the students did it - maybe too much? At any rate, I still can't believe I was able to clearly watch a D3 game (well, the second half anyway) live between two teams on the other side of the country.

UW-Oshkosh is losing 33-18 to UW-La Crosse with 7 minutes to go.

Oshkosh is Cal Lutheran's only real competition for another West team squeezing in (not including a Texas team being moved West), so this is good news for Cal Lutheran if they win today. They will be the top West bubble team. Looks like it will all depend on whether there is another Pool C team(s) elsewhere in the country getting in ahead of them or not.
