QuoteWas he one of the Linfielders up for pre-season AA?

No, but I lauded him as my favorite 'CAT after seeing him four times last season. That count?
He's a really, really nice guy and I find his mannerisms....amusing, in a dry wit sort of way.

Any of you know if I can listen to a radio station that requires Window Media Player on my Iphone.  Hoping to be able to listen to the Lutes upset win over the Cats.  If not I'll just have to follow along on Post Patterns.

Gig Harbor Cat

The Cats will be up by as much as 28 at the half !!!

Weather report calls for 50's and 60% chance of rain.

What happened to the one (or two?) highly touted D-line guys from Linfield that were receiving pre-season honors? Injuries? Or just getting outshined by this other kid?

One is a Defensive Back--having a good year I think but I guess those guys don't get a lot of attention unless they are getting the INTs...  the other is a D-lineman who is having a good year but nobody is having a better year than Hedin so far....both have been healthy enough to start all 5 games.
Go Cats!

Nishizaki is having a great year but he has never been a stats guy.  His job is to create chaos between the tackles and he's been doing that all season.  He's a leader and a major unsung hero of the 'Cats.  Fisher and the DB's lead the NWC in passing defense and pass def efficiency...teams are just not challenging Fisher very much this season but they are welcome too if they want to be knocked back into next week.

Hello NWC fans, I must drop over and say that I'm looking forward to checking out the Linfield/PLU game this weekend (online of course). What I find fascinating is that I believe it is a must win game for Linfield, meaning if they lose this Saturday they may be out of the playoffs with two losses, which would be a shame since Linfield is a good team. While on the other hand PLU would still be in the hunt for a playoff spot even with a loss.

Good luck to both teams this weekend!  :)

True enough...this is more of a 'must win' for Linfield than it is for PLU.  But there is typically a very strong pool of teams 'in the hunt' for a very small number of at-large bids.  You'd just rather not put your fate in the hands of a selection committee (ask '07 Whitworth or '01 Linfield), especially when you are on an island in terms of travel.  Plus the Lutes still face a tough Willamette team in Nov.

Yeah, and he got a BAD call on one of those in the Solute game. Whacked the guy good on the pads and then his helmet slid up to head and we got a 15 yarder in a critical situation. Might have been the difference in the 5 point defeat.

Proud Papa Joe

You are so right 11. It will be raining, raining CATS all over them Lutes.

And the Lutes can not afford a lost. Because they still have to play L&C and then WU. Two tough games. This game is very important for both teams. So the CATS will just come in and take care of business.

Go Cats

"Ah yes, the Leave No Doubt year, that great phrase that Linfield created and made come true...."

Thanks for posting that coco. That was our sons first year at Linfield, and although he didn't play any downs that year (red-shirt), it was our introduction to Division III football and the NWC. What a year to start with!

GO CATS!

Your boy came at a good time and made plenty of contributions in his years! You got to see some prime football.

Thanks coco. He loved playing for Linfield. Yes, we did get to see some excellent football and I have every game I attended on dvd.
I shot my own video or purchased dvds. I put together the "faithful" scrapbook also. So glad for the memories.

GO CATS!

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!
