So we put out our picks column this afternoon. Three of our four pundits agree on one surprise team, which I was surprised by.

Okay Cat fans here is my 2 cents on the game this weekend. The cats are the best team by far that I have seen in my 2 yrs at clu.they play a very physical game and the qb is dynamite. With that said ,i have never seen clu lose in my 2 years involved with the team.I was not at Willamette, last years playoff game,or at plu this year.I AM NOT GOING TO THE GAME THIS WEEKEND EITHER.GRRR..... I will be watching the game on the internet feed though.SO if that counts as watching live we win,if not the Cats go to round 2.GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS AND NO INJURIES.
So, sounds to me like this bodes well for us Cats!  Welcome to the board CLUdad.

I was surprised to read this as well Pat.  Looks like we've go a lot of respect.  I just hope none of the players or coaches are thinking this far ahead as each week the Cats are going to have to play 60 minutes or they will not advance.  The West bracket is definitely one of the toughest roads to Salem.  If CLU hasn't improved at all since the first game then it will be a blowout.  But they've had 8 games since we've seen them.  The SCIAC has surprised me in how well they improve over the season.  Just not as much as our Cats.
Cats by 10!

cludad

I can assure you clu is much improved on defense since week 1.the offense while good does not show up for stretches throughout the game.(my son plays o-line and he has missed both games against the Cats but is healthy and ready to go this time) .Hopefully we can put together a complete game cause if we dont we have no prayer. We have been slow starters and play much better in the 2nd half. If the game is within 7 at half it should be a great finnish.

GHC...The thunder is the WILDCAT offense.

No shorts, double the jug formula.

coco has platform flip flops leftover from the 70's for you to wear that will take care of the 1/2 inch forecasted.

Tomorrows game will come down to penalties and turnovers - whoever has the least most likely will win.  It looks like two very evenly matched teams who have both played excellent football all year.  CLU made the better half-time adjustments earlier this year while the Cats looked to have let up a bit.

Weather - since CalLu doesn't get much rain I'm wondering how much of a factor that can be... playing in the rain takes getting used to - throwing, catching, holding onto the ball, etc.  Although we can all remember a Whitworth game played in cruddy weather that we had 6 turnovers and lost even though they had just 85 yards of offense.

Let's go Cats!

On another note, anyone know why the quarterback from Canby didn't play vs Lewis & Clark?  Mickey Inns played as did another guy... just curious about next year!

Keep in mind that with the exception of those who "are new to the program" the Solutes have been playing PLU in Parkland every other year. Their staff knows how to teach the weather.
