HELP?? HELP?? What time is the game on Saturday?

Ever since Mrs. OldCat and I staged a breakout to attend Linfield's Homecoming game this year, all the "Nurse Racheds" here at the Cuckoo's Nest that is our Old Folks Home have been on our case and monitoring our activities. We've been unable to break out again to get to any more games.

Fortunately, this week, a 12-year old great grand nephew of one of the inmates...I mean residents...here at the Old Folks Home has brought in something called a laptop computer and says that he can hook it up to the TV in the Lounge whereby (somehow) we can watch the Linfield-St. Thomas game on TV. Frankly, I'm skeptical that this is even possible, but on the off-chance this young whippersnapper actually knows what he's doing, would somebody please tell me what time the game will be played?

Mrs. OldCat and I send our best wishes to the team and to all the Wildcats fans who were able to make the trip or who will be listening to and (who knows, maybe even watching) the game on this newfangled computer/laptop gizmo.

Go Wildcats!!!

All of the games are noon local time. Since St. Paul is in CT, that means 10 a.m. PT.

Schedule on our home page.

Thanks, Pat.

Here in Arizona we're on Mountain time so it looks like the game will be on at 11 am our time. Mrs. OldCat and I will make a special effort to be "presentable" that early in the day so we can watch the game in the public area of the Home. This assumes, of course, that this 12-year old isn't pulling our leg about the whizbang technology he claims to have.

Go Wildcats!!!

With today's technology you can indeed hookup a laptop to TV set especially if the TV and the laptop both have HDMI.  It's a one cable plug in.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Old Cat Prof,
YEP the new technology works super.  My grandson hooked his lap top up to my flat screen last weekend and I watched the Cats take it to Cal Lutheran on the big screen.  Just like the big time.  However, one note of caution, you do need some kind of a special connection cord that can be purchased at most stores.  I don't have a clue what it was but the grandson new all the tricks of the trade and we're now ready for the big game tomorrow.  As  you'll recall Old Cat Prof we didn't even have computers when attending Linfield so we just need to let the young Cats take care of us elders.

GO CATS.....Make us Proud!

Here's a little secret that the 12 year old might not know....That HDMI cable costs about 25-30 dollars at Wal Mart or Best Buy....but you can get one on ebay for only about 4.00 USD.

IMPORTANT TIP about streaming Tommies video

If you are a Google Chrome user like me....it won't work....I suspect the same with Foxfire, but not sure....It works fine on my computer using Microsoft Explorer's browser.

In comparing browsers, Google Chrome is the fastest in my opinion and rarely use any other browser.

WC11 printed a tutorial about this time last year on how to hook up your computer to your TV in order to watch the game on a larger screen.

It's finally Gameday Boys and Girls! I am fully anticipating a knock down, drag out battle. I wanted to wish the Linfield faithful good luck (just not too much of it  ;)) and here's to both teams surviving the battle with no injuries! Roll Tommies, Roll!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!

Not a bad day on the Northern Plains.  Highs in upper 20's but no wind and the sun is shinin'.  Little known fact, the turnover bug is immune to cold and is very protective of its habitat.  I see it biting the intruders today.
