George -- this may help you out. Broken down by conference, though, not region.

Pat, yes I had those numbers.   This year's playoff selections and seedings left a lot to be desired.

Pat, do you have complete playoff records for 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2007 and 2008?    I would like to see those records if i can find them.

Thanks,

George

Catdomealumni.com is having a little poll on our Facebook page on Aaron Boehme's top play over the past two years.  Check it out: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Catdomealumnicom/117673831583000

 ;D So....if I do not become a friend on Facebook, I don't vote?  ;D

I will start a new category then. What was your favorite Aaron Boehme game?

I open with UMHB 2009. Totally in control once the rest of the team got in control. Slice and dice.

I think you should be able to leave a comment.  If not, you can "like" the page and then comment. ;D

Will Larry Doty ever be fired at Linfield?  His career record is barely above .500 and he has had 20+ years to build a winning program.. and by winning I mean what we expect out of both the football and baseball teams which is to be in the national title hunt on an annual basis.  How long does being a Linfield Legend get a guy a Hall Pass?

Andy,

I can't answer that...I don't follow men's hoops at all so I don't know the inner workings.  It doesn't seem like there are any 'Cats that follow the team on the hoops board.  Anybody else?

I don't want to go too much into the hoops world here on the football forum, since there are some fine folks on the NWC board over on Posting Up, and I'd encourage you to solicit their opinion, Andy.

But briefly, I think Doty and Bob Gaillard at L&C, like Gordie James before them at Willamette, will have their jobs as long as they want them.  NWC (and Division III) men's basketball is an entirely different world than football, and I think you're asking a bit much if you want the Wildcats competing for a title every year.

Quick side note: getting into Doty's (and little Doty's) head so bad that they wanted the refs to call a technical foul on the Willamette student section was a personal triumph in an otherwise forgettable 2009-10 basketball season.

Yeah. Come join us on the basketball boards. We need some more input outside of the Whitworth folks. Not counting my "spiritual journey" (LOA) I still consider myself the most well rounded poster in the NWC...ok BP Press wins. But if he's the General Manager of multi-sport posting then I'm Assistant (to the) General Manager.

Just ventured on the NWC hoops board yesterday to have a little fun...don't think I'll be doing that again.   ::)

I, for one, appreciated the post. A modern day Joseph Heller...of course your post got someone more hot and bothered than a bus full of big girls on their way to an Enrique Iglesias concert. Consider me very entertained.

Las Vegas Wildcards

I noticed Eastern Washington will be playing for the FCS national title this Friday, and I happened to catch their win over Villanova on their new red turf. So here's a hypothetical situation: Say a wealthy Linfield grad(not me on both counts) was eager to make a large donation to the program contingent on the school installing purple turf paid for by the fictional person I mentioned.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see that, Linfield has more tradition than Eastern Washington. Thoughts?

Not being a Linfield fan I would hate to see purple turf, unless of course the alums all hated it too...then I just need to know where to send the check  ;D

My thought is that I don't think Linfield needs or would want anything to do with a full color turf.  The guy who is a regional VP for fieldturf and oversaw the install at Linfield back in 2004 says the 'Cats field is still one of the better installs/fields on the west coast.  The only thing that would could see changing one day if they reinstall updated turf is lettering in the endzone or midfield but the field will always be green and thankfully.
