Since this is the prediction season I hereby predict Wildcat 11 will become a West COAST  correspondent for this website in the near future.

Which airport is closest to the Linfield campus.  I can't justify it as easily to my better half as a trip to LA.

Portland International is about a 45 minute to hour drive from Mac. Done it many times.   Southwest usually has some good deals to PDX. Good luck and have fun.

Over on another Board they said a Linfield coach was interviewed on the Selection show.....I don't get ESPNews so didn't know whether or not that was accurate.

Was it Locey?  If so, how did the interview look and what was his take?

Congrats to Linfield--home field advantage all the way.  I think I'll get to see the big purple flag again at Salem.  This time I am going to bring my camera too, so I don't wait a year to see a chance to see the picture.
    Seriously what did the West do to deserve getting all 5 un defeated teams stuck together?  That seems overkill to me (Pat, you can jump in anytime and justify this, but I don't think the fans here are in the mood to listen)  I certainly thin CLU should have been in there before 2 loss teams got in.  But hey, I just make brownies, so I'm not supposed to know anything, right.  I think this about ball and chain--why not send her to LA to shop and you go to Linfield and enjoy the game.

As crappy of a deal as the west bracket looks, we all figured we'd have st. johns in the regional final and we still won't see them before that.  The potential 2nd round game with concordia looks tough but not as tough as st. john's date with whitewater.  I would have rather seen Central in Round 1 but Oxy is fine too.  I still don't believe that they are the #6 team in the country.  I will say it's BS that they pair the West and the South (two best regions) to meet in the semi's while the Mount gets a cake walk to the stagg with a date with the garbage East in the semi's!  

Besides the boys will still be pissed about the pillaging their locker room took last night...oxy will feel the wrath!!

Yes-- good interview!  Said "focusing on the next game was important" and after being asked about the tough bracket-- "cannot really worry about things that we can't control" or something like that.  He called in and spoke on the air with the host and Pat both asking questions.

Wildcat'64 - Locey said all the right things (unlike us fans).   He said they will be getting ready to play Occidental and that he understands the NCAA has a budget to work with so that is probably why so many top teams were included in the West. Classy as always.

I'm sure we will treat your locker room with respect.   I am an east coast native, went to school at Oxy and am now in the midwest.  I never really bought into that east coast bias, but now...
