Even after the end of NFL Europa, Europe has been the land of opportunity for former college football players who want to continue to play, and maybe have a shot at the NFL or Canada.  Playing in Europe today for Americans must be like a semester abroad except without the classes, where you are paid to play and get to experience Europe at the same time.  The Bearcats appear to have a big contingent of former college footballers in Finland, of all places.

The Jyväskylä Jaguaarit from the Finnish Top Division has signed its final Import for the 2011 season in Jake Forshey.

Arizona State is the latest school to change/update its logo and helmet design. That leads to this question: Which school has the best helmet design in college football?

What say you all? Let's keep it within the D3 ranks.

PA cat you have to get in on this one.

FYI: Being in Arizona I must say I dislike the new asu logo.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Sparky is a classic and while the new Trident is O.K. I'm not big on dumping on such a unique and classic logo.

Best Helmets in D3?  Easy, Linfield. Case closed. :D

While WC11 is entitled to his considered opinion, I'm sure there are some Wildcat fans who might be willing to consider a more modern or a different logo on the side of Linfield football helmets.  Here are a few suggestions for your consideration . . .

Middle one looks like he has some swagger...pic on the right looks like a dog and one on the left looks too generic.

I vote middle.  He has that air of confidence and is already wearing the Linfield cap of the original Wildcat.  Needs a purple and cardinal sweater, though.

Linfield's 1971 National Championship baseball team will be honored during this Saturday's game with George Fox at Helser Field.  I heard they're only playing one game against Fox, but who knows? Anyway, it's hard to believe that the "kids" who won that national championship (in Phoenix, AZ) in Ad Rutschman's first year as baseball coach are, well, er...old men now. Wonder how many of them can still run the bases? Of course, I'm not sure I could run the bases even back then!  ;D

It was a great tournament with some great stories as a result.

ADvantage Catdome: Linfield Football Spring Review: Linebackers

Seems like Linfield always has always had a great group of linebackers. I feel confident that this group will rise to the occasion. Last season was a little shaky out of the gates but they came around to be a very good group. This season I see Axel as a good leader and some of the younger guys will prove to be very solid. Thanks for the preview Wildcat11.

And good to hear from Gig.....hope to see you this weekend at the diamond.
