+k there are more than enough Wildcat supporters on this board...

There sure are a lot of cat supporters on these boards!!  I feel pretty alone out here lol.  I was disappointed that Welch didn't play also.  He took a pretty big hit the game before.  I hope he stays healthy and we can see how it goes this year against Linfield.  I hope it's game and not a blow out like last season.  Regardless, I just hope all the guys have a good year and stay healthy that's the most important thing.  Too many injuries in this sport.

Kudos to Walter Robinson, Jr., student, leader.  He exemplifies the type of human being Willamette fosters.

James Day doesn't usually spend much ink on the Bearcats, preferring to cover the Ducks or the Beavers, but concluded with this about Robinson:

"[Robinson] has so many future projects in mind it's hard to keep track of them all.
Job opportunities in banking and/or finance. Graduate school at Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine or USC. A dream plan of starting his own sports management business with best friend, Cathedral High and Yale grad Ricardo Galvez.
Or maybe politics.
'I definitely want to stay in politics,' he said.
Walter Robinson. Student, athlete, activist, leader.
It was an honor to interview him."

The Wildcat supporters usually gang up on supporters from the other schools, but we're used to it.  So welcome to the board.  It's always great to hear about the other NWC schools and their players.  L&C has a great football tradition and I'm sure, with players like Mr. Welch, we'll be hearing more about the Pios in the future.

Go Bearcats!

D O.C.

It's always great to hear about the other NWC schools and their players so we can gang up on them too. We really can't wait to gang up on George Fox and then kick 'em when they're down. Too bad we won't have Menlo to kick around any more. They were always fun to gang up on.  :'(

Couldn't find the slightest blurb anywhere on D3 Sports about the amazing, and surely recordbreaking, run through the Pella, Iowa regionals by the Linfield College Softball Team.
Linfield 49, oponents 0.  Unbelievable.
Outstanding performance ladies and good luck in Salem.

Now that's a post I can agree with.  :)  I was hoping to watch/listen to Welch play against Linfield last season also.

I'm just hoping that it's a better game this year.  Last year left the Pios with a pretty bad season ending game to think about the rest of the year.

It is impressive. Because of D3baseball.com stuff yesterday, I didn't have a chance to piece together softball coverage for D3sports.com. Was waiting to see if the Cortland and Ithaca regionals ever got finished after all that rain.

Pat:
I think it's time to post your annual "atta boy" for all you and the D3 staff do for the fans of Division 3 schools. Thanks for the time and effort everyone at headquarters contribute to keep this site running so smoothly.  I gave you +k.8-)

I don't know what else I would do on this board if Cal Lu wasn't playing Linfield so often. Talk trash to PLU fans? Those guys are too nice to even joke with, plus they don't get riled up.

Maybe if we somehow get Willamette back on the schedule, 509 Rat and I can go back and forth ...

In other words this board is a Linfield world, the rest of us are all just living in it! I wouldn't have it any other way (because when we take game 1 again this year it makes it that much sweeter).  :D
