Forgot to say--except for the few minutes of down time--today's CatCast was much improved in that there was less buffering and the sound quality was vastly better than it has been!  Good Job guys!

What cause the buffering on the Linfield football video broadcast? Is it something that Linfield does (or doesn't do) or is it caused somewhere else along the line?

I don't think Linfield has anything to do with it.  Sometimes it's a problem on our end (e.g. bandwidth or traffic on your ISP) other times it's a problem with Stretch Internet (I suspect) but today it was not much of a problem at all.  However, the whole broadcast died for a few minutes (around the the time the Cats kicked the 49 yd FG).  Still---it was improved overall today.

GO FOR TWO

At what point did the Linfield faithful light up their victory cigars and start signing, "Turn out the lights the party is over."

In Dubuque the Wartburg fans couldn't do it until the last second clicked off the clock.  It was a dandy D3 football game.  Maybe not as good as the 2003 Wartburg/Linfield playoff game, but I enjoyed the results of yesterday's game better than the 2003 game.

It sounds like a good show by the Warts.
It was homecoming here, and I missed the last part of the game to help set up for the dinner and casino night. The outcome appeared to have been decided at that point.

The following are the thoughts of a guy who wrote his politics thesis on the rise of the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei ...

It wasn't just the Hitler aspect of the analogy that got Hank tossed: it was the fact that the second name he used was Netanyahu.  Dropping Hitler's name is one thing ... dropping Hitler in the same sentence as the prime minister of Israel?  Entirely different ballgame.  Now you're not just talking WWII, you're bringing all sorts of Holocaust stuff into the equation.  ESPN can't afford to have people thinking about that kind of thing when they're watching Monday Night Football.

IMO, ESPN made the right call.

All that being said, I'll lay down a piano track for the replacement song.  Who else is in?  Bluenote?  Can we get d-train to represent PLU with some cowbell? ;D

I think that just goes to show the extremity of Williams' analogy, and that it was fairly-well thought out. Even though they lived in different times, the absurdity of the thought that Benjamin Netanyahu would ever do anything with Adolf Hitler only emphasizes the differences that Williams apparently believes exist between Boehner and Obama. Again, it was only an analogy...

Looking forward to Menlo actually. A ranked team should be a a challenge.

Glad that Linfield took care of business!  BC made too many mistakes and lost to HC.  We had chances to win, but . . . you can't make big mistakes like we did  and expect to win!  The school didn't take a bus so I couldn't go.  I listened on the radio and watched JMU lose to U. Maine.  It was a losing tide in the valley!  On break at the moment.  I hate the fact I'm not going to hear my song.  I'D RATHER HEAR THE SONG THAN WATCH THE GAME.  Oh, well, I figure Detroit will give it a good effort.  They aren't paying any of my teams so that's OK. Gave everybody their Karma point tonight!  All's well as long as the CATS win.

Linfield vs. UPS. The perfect storm? A week defense meets an effective offense and vice versa. I really didn't think the score would be that extreme. ???

The intro to MNF was very week. At least I thought the Barry Sanders segment was the intro. Hope they can come up with a replacement for Bocephus.  8-)

Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Southern Oregon is at Mary Hardin Baylor this weekend.  Should be enlightening to see how the Raiders do against a top Texas D3 team in Texas.

Right now, the biggest foe for UMHB is themselves and fixable mistakes. They need to stop throwing the ball away, utilize the receivers in better ways, and not forget their first love. Pound the rock! With that, they can go far.

This weekend will be a good time to work on some of those issues as we play NAIA foe Southern Oregon. We should be able to dominate them. We'll see.

Not sure how good SOU has been this year...didn't show up vs Willamette but I think they did just beat Eastern Oregon who is having a good year. Which SOU team will show up?

Yeah--SOU beat then #17 EOU despite being -5 on turnover margin! (they had 2 INTs to EOUs 1 and 5 Fumbles lost to EOUs 1).  They passed for over 400 yds (on only 20 of 29) which , if MHB truely has secondary issues could be a problem (for MHB).  However, I suspect MHB will bring it and remind SOU why they left D3 :)

This weekend should be entertaining and educational for a couple of programs.
