            I can't + you any more today.
You know I want Redlands to visit the CATDOME instead of the boring 'ol solutes again. They keep screwing up though.

Speaking of that...if both Cal Lu and Redlands win out, who heads where?  (I do realize it is very early for this kind of talk, but a general idea?)

Redlands heads back to Thousand Oaks and Somebody else get's sent to Cat Dome.....or....Redlands goes to Catdome and Cal Lu goes to Minnesota...

I'd prefer one of them come to Belton. ;)

Linfield has pretty much wrapped up the NWC slot for the playoffs.  Maybe generous Wildcat alumni can fund a playoff game with a non-Sciac team for a change.

Interesting article where Wildcat Coach Smith was interviewed by the Linfield Review.

Football prepares for next level
– October 10, 2011
Some excerpts:

"But last Saturday, I was surprised to find one of those cardinal rules was broken during my post-game talk with Smith.

When I asked him about a few new trick plays the team had tried to incorporate, a reverse on a punt return and an on-side kick, rather than giving the team line about playing to potential, he said something completely different.

After only four games in the season, Coach Smith said that the team is  beginning to try to elevate their level of play to match that of national powers Mount Union and University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

These two teams have met in the Division-III title game for the past several seasons and consistently produce Arena League and sometimes NFL prospects, so their talent and quality of play is self-evident.

But the fact that Smith is thinking to those teams this early in the season and breaking the "focus on the next game" rule means that he knows how special this team is, and he's hungry."

Time for the Wildcats to talk about the playoffs?

How about if the NCAA let's the flies out of their wallet and brings in an IIAC Team...that would be awesome...I'm getting sick of playing SCIAC in the 1st round. They are probably feeling the same way.

I like our place kicker, defense and running game and some aspects of the passing game...but everything else needs improvement before any playoff game IMHO.

Root for Cal Lu and Redlands to win out.

I also like our special teams and the fact that our QB improves each week! :)

Pat...if that were the case how do you think things would play out for playoff pairing in the West?

I'm guessing based on his statement that Redlands would go to Cal Lu and we'd get someone else.
Go Cats!

Good win, Wildcats.    Are Aaron and Sparky going to be able to play again?

Pacific will win a football game this year.

Since someone has brought up playoffs so early, I have started mapping out who might be in the West Region.    Even with four weeks to go, I see the field down to 9 teams already.    Of course, upsets can change that.

Good day for a ball game.
Greetings from out at the confluence of the Potomac & Shenandoah Rivers.
Since there are beginnings, there are endings. According to the team at the National Cancer Institute their procedures were successful.  I appear to be cancer free. Had I waited longer to have the  radical operation perhaps not so.
Suggest all have the doctor talk.
Thanks for the good wishes.

For D.O.C. - Last time I heard cancer is a word, not a sentence. As all old Cats know, when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Good job in overcoming an obstacle.

For some Cats - how come you are prognosticating the playoffs so early? The Lutes are coming, the Lutes are coming. Let's take care of business one week at a time.

It's nice to believe, but it's better to achieve - GO CATS

Ya...I guess I got a little ahead of myself there! But I'm just a fan (not a player or coach)....! We sometimes have a tendency to get all fired up about the playoffs a little early if we think our team is pretty darn good like I do.... 8-)

BTW....PLU will be fired up this weekend, we better not slack off!  >:(
