I've got a room with two beds for Friday and Saturday nights. Not where the team is ($109) but down the El Camino Real in the same town ($71).

Great effort by the CATS today.  Was just reviewing the stats and take away the one scoring drive that PLU managed against the backups at the end of the game and the Lutes were held to less than 60 yds of offense (137 total- 80 yds on that drive).  Great job by the D today.  Offense did well except that there were too many sacks--some of these were case of QB holding it to long but some of them were missed assignments by O-Line and/or RB.  That needs to get fixed.  Good to see so many guys playing again and nice to see Sparky Gonzales back on the field!

Great W today for the Cats.  See you at the Catdome in a couple of weeks when our Cats get to bury L & C.  I see they beat UPS by 3 today and we put 72 on them in 3 quarters and took our foot off of the gas.  L & C might want to consider just not showing, picking a score and phone it in !!!

Great effort by the Cats today.  From watching all the games this season this seemed to be the best the Cats have done to date.  They seem to be clicking as a team and that's a good thing as we face two long road trips in the next two weeks.  Menlo always plays us tough on their home field so I sure hope the guys don't get over confident just because they blew PLU out of the box today.  One game at a time....next up a long tough road trip to face a Menlo team that is far better than in recent years.  We just need to improve each and every week and stop looking forward.

I've been looking forward...to beating a scholarship team.

Another great win, Wildcats.   Yet, I miss the old PLU powerhouses of the 80s and 90s, when the Linfield-PLU was always THE game of the regular season.   Those games were always tough and often came down to the 4th qtr.

As a 'Cat fan from the early 1980's it's always a good day when we beat the Lutes. Even better when it's ten in a row!

Tech-Geek note: Got to view the 2nd half on my I-phone while wife was driving from Laramie to Denver. Dave Hansen streaming through the speakers on I-80 in Wyoming! Now have a sudden desire to get new tires from Les Schwab and on Oregon Burrito at Muchas Gracias.

Taking nothing away from the Cats significant statement yesterday, but the Lutes were a well coached, talented team. Their linebackers were athletic and quick, and on several occasions pressured QB sacks and hurried passes. That said, it's amazing PLU surrendered 45 points. As the game progressed, I really began to believe we have a very special team, one that can certainly control it's own destiny. I tip my hat to Coach Smith and his staff, and especially to all the players who took care of business against a Lute team that will win out the rest of the season.

Please excuse me while I pin this on Willamette's bulletin board ...

Okay, I'm back.  We were talking about an undefeated NWC team that begins with "L."  That would be Lewis & Clark, right?

Props to the Pios.
"The Pioneers improve to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Northwest Conference. The victory marks the first time the Pioneers have begun the conference season with a 3-0 record since 1966. Lewis & Clark remains one of two undefeated teams in the Northwest Conference this season, ...."
