Hey Press.... always glad to provide you with bulletin board fodder. If one is motivated and succeeds by reading bulletin board gibberish, it only proves one can read. If one loses, it proves he can't  :)

I for one am proud of the Pios and their achievements thus far in 2011 (6-0, 3-0 speaks for itself). Although over the years the CATS had their way with L&C, the Pioneers in the 60s gave us fits. Three weeks is still to far ahead to wish for two undefeated teams to battle it out for the title, but it would be fantastic. Right now the CATS need to take care of business one game at a time and LEAVE NO DOUBT!

As a 'Cat fan from the early 1980's it's always a good day when we beat the Lutes. Even better when it's ten in a row!

Tech-Geek note: Got to view the 2nd half on my I-phone while wife was driving from Laramie to Denver. Dave Hansen streaming through the speakers on I-80 in Wyoming! Now have a sudden desire to get new tires from Les Schwab and on Oregon Burrito at Muchas Gracias.

Classic post PA cat. Gave you +k.  ;D

Great win over PLU for the 'CATS!  :)
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Another great win, Wildcats.   Yet, I miss the old PLU powerhouses of the 80s and 90s, when the Linfield-PLU was always THE game of the regular season.   Those games were always tough and often came down to the 4th qtr.

I miss those days too.   :-[

a Lute team that will win out the rest of the season.

Please excuse me while I pin this on Willamette's bulletin board ...

Okay, I'm back.  We were talking about an undefeated NWC team that begins with "L."  That would be Lewis & Clark, right?

Props to the Pios.
"The Pioneers improve to 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in the Northwest Conference. The victory marks the first time the Pioneers have begun the conference season with a 3-0 record since 1966. Lewis & Clark remains one of two undefeated teams in the Northwest Conference this season, ...."

I, too, am very happy to see Lewis & Clark be competitive again.   The NWC needs 4-5 good teams.  I will be surprised if the Pioneers beat both Willamette and PLU.    So far, Willamette is my pick for #2 in the NWC this year.

To all of my Willamette and PLU poster buddies  8-)

I know that both PLU and Willamette will kick the crap out of Lewis and Clark but I have a favor to ask.  Please take it easy on their QB Welch.  We don't want any fricking excuses this year like last that his skirt blew up in his face and he twisted an ankle or sumpthin !!  We want him at his 100% so we can take him and his buddies apart piece by piece in the Catdome.  Last year he commented to the Cats that we were lucky that he wasn't in there as we rolled them.  This year no excuses--  Phone it in--  We are ALL waiting for you and your Jr High teammates.

Peace out, GHC

Although I wasn't too impressed with PLU this year....I do think that their defense will be very stout vs. L & C. Dont' know much about L & C this year but my prediction with the game at PLU.....

PLU 21
L & C 14

D O.C.

So why do I think the Menlo game is of great import this Saturday?
'Cause I get to be there?
Yep.

There IS video coverage of the game.  PLU DID beat these guys. SOU did too. They WERE ranked in the decimated NAIA at # 25 (Eastern Oregon now has the honor at 5-3). They DO give scholarships as they back out of the NWC. They DO have a couple guys from Sammamish, WA.

It feels like a first game of the year. There are some unknowns. Menlo would make their whole program if things went terribly wrong for LINFIELD, the Oaks could keep the game close, and finally eek out a win.
What me worry? NO.

Could you hold up an Alfred E Newman sign so I can spot you.

Never had the pleasure of being at the high school field, but holding up a sign would be against doctor's orders. If I can find a spot to spread out a beach towel I'll be the guy on one elbow.

Thanks for the heads up regarding video!  I was getting myself ready for audio-only for the first time this season!

Wow, you really have it bad for the QB huh?  Why would you keep talkin about L&C?  Should L&C be in any of your thoughts ?  One game at a time.  I'm sure they are happy with their accomplishments so far.  They have worked hard and will continue to do so.  Without the arrogance of the Cat supporters.

Some think the QB is quite good...and I assure you he doesn't wear skirts.

D O.C.

Fair enough Pioneer people.
It's just that he has not faced a formidable defense that he, and his team, have had to face that knows if they hassle him personally, you got nothing.
And then is your defense for 4 quarters.
Glad to see you've run up a good record? No. You are another worthy opponent to take apart.
If you keep it close, can you do it in the 4th? No, we say.
