Not sure Linfield's offense has much to worry about at Whitworth.   It wasn't that their defense played so well against WU, it's that most of our Offense didn't show up for the first half and the ones that did kept dropping the ball or doing stupid things to give yards to Whitworth.   That's where the game went bad--not the OTs.
....

Is the mildkitties' "ugly win" against the Oaks a sign they are thinking ahead to CLU, which appears to be building some big momentum?  The Pirates seem to be peaking and will be playing at home.  Still, if the Pirates have a chance of winning, it will be only because the McMinnville kitcats will beat themselves by melting in the heat as would their doppelganger crisp wafers.   ;)

You might say the ball rolled the Pirates' way but they played a good game and deserved the win.
The Pios are definitely on the way up.  They won't be a pushover for the Bearcats this coming week.  PLU is never easy to beat so I wouldn't assume WU will win - even at home.
Congrats to Pacific on their first win.  Look for them to be making noise in the league next year and particularly the year after.

The Pios keep improving and how they do against the Bearcats may be a good tell on how they will do against the kitcats.   8-)

In yesterday's win the Wildcat D only gave up 7 points...A defense that only gives up 7 points per game is a team that wins championships.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Of course, since 2009, CLU has never scored less than 14 points against Linfield (this year being the lowest).  If the CLU defense steps up, there might be a close game.

It was almost comical listening to some of the Menlo faithful yelling at the Menlo OC Doug Cosbie about his play calling. No concept that maybe the Linfield D was that good.  ;D He didn't seem upset at his offense, quietly realizing that he was seeing a superior defense

With Halloween around the corner, I figured as much, as the kitkat defense may turn out to be all tricks and few treats against Whitworth if they don't stay focused.

BB: How do you figure ?     Cats need to win out to get the AQ ,   true..   :o

Because if L&C beats the Bearcats your meeting with them becomes a contest of two undefeated teams.   It's even worse if Whitworth should beat Linfield.  Just cheer for the Bearcats -- we're not the enemy!! ;D   'Cept maybe in basketball . . .

bluenote

I think L & C should be in the top 10.
