DC1-Looking forward to seeing you at the tailgate on Sat. Ahhhh yes, Fallon, NV.....my hometown. Next time stop by the Pizza Barn, best on the West Coast.

Too bad there wasn't a stat for avg starting field position. I have to think the opponents rarely start outside the 25 yd line thanks to the Kick-off team.

dc1,
Glad to hear you're making progress on the trek North.  Sounds like the "ranch" inspections could have slowed you down just a bit -- "old cowboys never die, they just ride a little lower in the saddle" -- hope the young fillies were appropriate decked out in Cardinal and Purple to get you in the proper frame of mind for Saturdays game!

Travel safe over the mountain pass.

Go CATS - ONE GAME AT A TIME

64,  You know the difference between an old bull and young bull looking at a bunch of cows down in a  pasture? The young bull says " let's RUN down there and get us one of those cows"   and The Old bull says  "  Let's WALK down there and get them ALL" ..

And fur will fly in the catdome sat..  early morning line in the rogue valley cats 42 , tigers shinned 17.
Next stop north  tomorrow,  (7 Feathers )

Go Cats.. Salem east one game at a time..

OCC,  Fallon  is not a bad place to be from.  I saw some nice looking fillies there. It's cold and getting colder there too. 8)
Can 't wait to see the skinning this sat.   Tiger on a stick at the half..   The salty D will cure the Hide..  ;D

Go Cats.

I'd give you karma but no one has yet told me how to do it...

I understand that we cannot give Karma or smite someone's Karma untill we have reached a certain # of posts.  Could some one please, tell me how many that is?

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Thanks 'Cats Fa Natic, the karma is either applaud-->+karma or smite-->neg karma under the poster's name on the left.

That's weird... my screen doesn't have that at all.  On the left of the messages, mine has:
 poster's name
 "starter" etc
 a row of stars
 amount of karma
 # of posts
 avatar
then a row of icons for: view profile, email, and personal message.

Am I blind or is this maybe a system/browser thingee...?

Ah.  Okay, then that would explain why I don't see anything...

NWC ALL CONFERENCE

OneArmedScot

WOW, the cats must be unreal.....24 all-conference honors!!!!

And the NWC must be full of high caliber athletes with 79 all-conference picks with only 5 teams (15 per team)!!!

I'm just joking around, but I think in this day and age we have lost focus on what an honor is and what a piece of paper to give to mommy and daddy is!!

Any Cat fan who can honestly say that every starter, punter, kicker, etc. on the team is worthy of All-Conference status needs to take a dip in the Pacific and come back to reality!!

Ill get off my stump now (I've posted similarly in the MWC thread: 125 All conference with 10 teams)...

I am looking forward to the prospects of the potential trip back to Pinot counrty!

When did you live in Fallon?  I remember going to the Fallon Labor Day Rodeo and the Dry Gulch Saloon back in my Linfield days in the 60's. That was one wild weekend.  My grandfather, Harry Sawyer, MD lived in Fallon for years and delivered half of Northern NV  (He was an OB), very colorful guy:  A drunk- when inebriated he was a high rolling gambler, then he'd sober enough to make it to the state legislature of which he was a member, then "catch" a few babies to make some $$ then repeat the cycle.  My grandmother Byrd Wall Sawyer was the librarian at Churchill County High School and a teacher for years.  Harry was the father of Grant Sawyer who was Governor of Nevada in the 60's and went to Linfield for a couple of years as an undergraduate.

LB:  Thought it best to move our discussion to the Northwest.  WW did leap over the J's in the D3 but those Coaches like the Johnnies.  Should be a great game.  St Johns and WW beat EC in similar fashion.  The J's are 6 and 0 on the road against some or our best competition so not to worry about the travel thing.  One opposing coach was quoted as saying "the Johnnie D is the best he's seen in 15 years in the league.  Even some of the hard core Johnnie faithful are starting to believe.  Ya, I think we will be in the finals whereever it is played.  McMinnville of course.    Would you agree that Oxy will be the best team you have played this year?
