I know you are just trying to stir up ****, because that's what you do, but for the record, Mount Union has never had a rep on the committee in the 13 years we've been here.
Stuff like this post is a barrier to actual discussion. It detracts from legitimate questions, Blue. It's been, what, a decade? Perhaps you can grow past this stuff.

Chill man...can't I have an opinion? I didn't cuss or say a booboo bad word...LOL!   :o

PS...Thanks for all your hard work on the site Pat......(I'm banking of Redlands to beat UMHB)  8-)

Pat Coleman

Opinion? Sure. But doesn't the intentional bull**** crap get old?

One other thing...just because they aren't in the room doesn't mean they don't have any "agents" in the room. We're talking big bucks here if MUC gets in....plus Whitewater brings in big bucks too....I think Whitewater has like 15,000 students! I'm for the 51% who would like an even playing field!  ;D

Actual facts dispute your bull**** assertions. Check the attendance.

Pat,
Okay, wrong on me towards your account.  But actually, I was parroting what I perceived to be hearing from the ESPN commentators.  Perhaps they were just trying to create a story.

I do remember your response to a question from a MUC guy after the game on this board.  He asked you if you thought the Lutes would have beat MUC.  You nailed it when you told the guy, that, "they (the lutes) would have beat you."

Jeez...thanks Pat...we almost had more people at the Linfield/UMHB game than MUC/Whitewater game....don't understand why the committee favors them in the selection process!!! We could get more than them this year and earn big bucks for the national program!   ::)

Pat Coleman

The ESPN folks may have thought that was the case -- I don't remember. Been a long time since I watched that game. I should do that sometime, gotta dig a VCR out. But the ESPN guys saw no D-III ball all year, and the play by play guy doubled as their Tour de France guy.

Those who saw D-III games thought otherwise.

BTW Pat,
I couldn't disagree with you more about Blue.  It's guys like him who make this board more interesting, in my opinion.  If this board was just factual football, it would be missing a lot.  People are people, not computers spitting out the facts....and oh, yes computer facts are input by humans and human events that are very much prone to that which is not real....in my opinion.....But yes I do appreciate ALL THE HARD WORK you put into this site.  You deserve to make some big bucks in my opinion.

I got my copy on a digital computer file.  I don't remember the play by play guy, but I do remember the color commentator who was formerly an Oakland Raider.  He did an excellent job.

Spielman, yep, he was alright. Of course, I most remember what he said about Rowan's defensive linemen, that two of them got to decide between themselves who would get to start that day. Except that was a Pacific Lutheran thing. Does that sound remotely like something K.C. Keeler would let his players do? :)

And as for Blue, Cris, there is a difference between having an opinion and making stupid assumptions up just to talk about something. There was a legitimate question asked, that could have inspired some serious discussion. Oh well.

Trivia Question:
Was it the Johnnies who made up the phrase "monkeystomp"?  Whoever it was deserves a special award.  I'd like to hear the history behind that.  I bet it's strictly a d3 thing.

It was definitely on Post Patterns somewhere. Back in those days, the characters from the LL and MIAC crossed over a lot more and now I cannot remember which one came up with it.

Pretty sure it was the East Coasters ... possibly one of the RPI guys.
