Would you agree that Oxy will be the best team you have played this year?
Pretty hard to say until Saturday afternoon, isn't it?

Ritz-

I would have to agree with that...piss poor...does it really mean anything when so many people make the squad??

A reminder that it is Wednesday and that's when many voted on the Heismann site. Time to bump the tally again.

d-train...you beat me to the punch on that one.   Kenneth must think I'm psychic or something.    But to your other thoughts.  Going on the road...was that wire to wire victory the Johnnies had over Concordia one of those games on the road you didn't have to worry about??    Amazing how that game has left your memory......

The deeper the playoffs go, you don't necessarily see better teams.  One would have assumed last season, the second best team Linfield saw in the playoffs was Rowan.  While I grant you that Rowan had a bad hair day out here, the second best team Linfield played was UW-LaCrosse, the first round opponent.....they had some pretty good athletes and they had a few bad breaks go against them in the game.   Those of you who have the highlight DVD, go look again at the first TD Linfield scored against UWL and tell me the defender made a bad play...it was a good play that went bad.

And as far as great defense is concerned, after UMHB, one of the better defensive schemes played against Linfield last season was by Pacific Lutheran.  Craig McCord had Elliott confused for a few series and the speed PLU traditionally has can make a game interesting.

Looking out the window, what a great day weatherwise.  Maybe I should pop over to practice for a bit....

desert cat 1,
Have you arrived in Mac yet after your long drive North?  If so, what's the scouting report for Saturday look like?

64,  NO, I'm in Jacksonville and will be in Catland tomorrow afternoon.  This old cowboy  got side tracked and had to stop and check out some of the ranchs  along the way..First it was the Mustang Ranch,(the grass was still green) then the Cottontail  Ranch,(water was cool and clear)  and last but not least The Bunny Ranch, (the eggs were all in the basket) What can I say just a beautiful bunch of   fillies.

DenSLa ,it was Las Vegas, Tonopah, Fallon,Reno and then Rogue Valley. No  Elko this trip. .. No snow this morning on the suskiyou's , but some fog in the valley.

Go Cats..  Skin the tigers..AGAIN

Ahhhh good ole Elko........

Congratulations to 2004 All-American Qb, 2005 NCAA stat leading Qb, Northwest Conference Player of the Year, 2005 pre-season All-American Qb etc., etc., etc. Brett for being the ONLY player from LINFIELD to be selected to this site's PLAYER OF THE WEEK column this 2005 season...for WHATEVER reason.

Thanks 'Cats Fa Natic, the karma is either applaud-->+karma or smite-->neg karma under the poster's name on the left.

That's weird... my screen doesn't have that at all.  On the left of the messages, mine has:
 poster's name
 "starter" etc
 a row of stars
 amount of karma
 # of posts
 avatar
then a row of icons for: view profile, email, and personal message.

Am I blind or is this maybe a system/browser thingee...?

I was wondering that as well. Swede was trying to walk me through.....Should have known Swede would get me lost....LOL

As posted on the SCIAC board:  The new "Around the Nation" is posted.  A nice read and lot's of love for the west, particularly, through my biased eyes, Linfield and Oxy.

CamCat-
We moved to Fallon in 1986....I graduated HS in 95 before heading up to McMinnville. Parents still live there.

ATN gives up a whole lot of love to the West.  I kind feel like the Cats have to run the gauntlet just to defend, but I imagine we wouldn't have it any other way.  All comers have to make it through the CatDome!!!!!

Speed on defense will be the difference.

Looks like the Johnnie fans have added a TM (trademark) designation to their MonkeyStomp(whenever they swamp an opponent)......perhaps we Cat fans need a similiar designation.....say "CATWHIPPIN".....Any suggestions?

The Monkey StompTM was introduced to us by RPI in '03.  It occurs when you beat an opponent by 21 points.

The Johnnies will be opening one of these this Saturday.

A tradition unrivaled...

Thank you for the clarification.

Come to think of it to keep things simple it's been our goal to
Monkey StompTM everyone one this year.  The only team to escape it was Whitworth.

If the Wildcats and the Tigers play true to last years form on Saturday we should be able to chalk another one on Saturday

Do not let sju fool you, The monkey stomp is really a dance they all do because all johnnies love the Anaheim Angels rally monkey.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Ummmm. I don't think Linfield fans want to be offering a pXXXX lXXXXX to any other teams.

Wives are ok when you're excited about a good monkeystomping... this one not so much.

86,
The MonkeyStomp is actually what resulted in the death of the Rally Monkey.
