Thank you footballfan413,
I hope you had a wonderful day with family and friends.
Good luck to your WarHawks tomorrow.
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

I miss a day and look what happens...fireworks!.

Looking forward to the feed on Saturday Pat, Thanks for all you do.

Bobo, the 2005 football game was a heck of a battle to watch.   One I will never forget.
Thanks for the heads up for this week.

Things are heating up I see, Put me in Coach!   I'm ready to play!!

Go Cats!
One game at a time!!
Leave no Doubt!!!

I missed the 2005 Linfield-WWW game, but in the playoff category, the 23-20 2003 win over Wartburg was exciting. Game was played at Willamette, and Linfield had a solid lead in the third quarter, but Wartburg came back late to tie it up. With little time left on the clock, the Cats drove down the field and kicked the winning field goal as time expired. I recall a ton of fans at that game, and Wartburg brought a large amount of fans as well.

Out of curiosity, is this game available anywhere? video stream? DVD?

It's my understanding highlights are available, but in terms of the whole game with announcers, multiple cameras, replays, etc. I don't believe any coverage exists of that nature.

There was no video of the game.  Only game film by the Cats with no sound.  I was actually given a copy of it years ago, (thank you again, you know who you are,) and while better than nothing, it hardly did justice to the spectacular event.  Then a few years later, with a little time to heal from the wounds and encouragement, WC 11 put together an awesome, well balanced highlight tape of, "The Game."  I couldn't find it on his site.  Maybe he would be so kind as to repost a link to it.  On the WIAC page if it feels too painful on here.   8-)

Yeah thanks MonroviaCat - now I have to go shake out the bad vibes somewhere...

QuoteHowever LINFIELD was unable to convert a first down and had to punt the ball back to UWW. (47 secs. left)

No running game after 2004 Stagg MVP Riley Jenkins chose not to go back to play 2005.
Said it before and I'll say it once more, putting Derek Stanley on Casey Allen prevented LINFIELD from getting that first down. Great move by The Berk and his staff.

D O.C.,
I wasn't at the game, what do you mean "putting Derek Stanley on Casey Allen"?  Did Derek go into the game to play D on a top receiver?

Yes. It was great. All American throwing to an All American covered by an All American.
