I miss a day and look what happens...fireworks!.

Looking forward to the feed on Saturday Pat, Thanks for all you do.

Bobo, the 2005 football game was a heck of a battle to watch.   One I will never forget.
Thanks for the heads up for this week.

Things are heating up I see, Put me in Coach!   I'm ready to play!!

Go Cats!
One game at a time!!
Leave no Doubt!!!

I missed the 2005 Linfield-WWW game, but in the playoff category, the 23-20 2003 win over Wartburg was exciting. Game was played at Willamette, and Linfield had a solid lead in the third quarter, but Wartburg came back late to tie it up. With little time left on the clock, the Cats drove down the field and kicked the winning field goal as time expired. I recall a ton of fans at that game, and Wartburg brought a large amount of fans as well.

Out of curiosity, is this game available anywhere? video stream? DVD?
There was no video of the game.  Only game film by the Cats with no sound.  I was actually given a copy of it years ago, (thank you again, you know who you are,) and while better than nothing, it hardly did justice to the spectacular event.  Then a few years later, with a little time to heal from the wounds and encouragement, WC 11 put together an awesome, well balanced highlight tape of, "The Game."  I couldn't find it on his site.  Maybe he would be so kind as to repost a link to it.  On the WIAC page if it feels too painful on here.   8-)
Here it is:  http://www.catdomealumni.com/topten/thegame.html

Man, that atmosphere must have been electric.
You can't believe it.  Remember that we were the upstarts taking on the defending national champs.  There were 11, (count 'em,) 11 lead changes and when we took the lead with 42 seconds left, I was still freaking out.  42 seconds for Elliot and Co. was way too much.  It is still one of the three best games I have ever witnessed in my life and a crime that any team had to lose that day.  And thank God for that defensive touchdown!   ;D 8-)

Sorry boys, for the trip down memory lane.  Be rooting for ya tomorrow!

ff413, ;) ;)   Upstarts with a running back named Beaver (?) who would run for over 125 yard's on most D's with a broken leg and the other shoe untied. :D After 23 wins in a row I was waiting for one more purple Frisbee heading to  the end-zone....which almost happened. The players thought the same thing I believe. Confidence!
It's getting closer to game time thank goodness. Good luck to your Warhawks today!

Leave no doubt!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Good luck to the Wildcats today.

Would be interested to read how the die hard Cat fans have enjoyed their trip to the east and what some of your highlights have been.

Expecting our NWC friends to advance to the next round.

With TDT retiring from the West Region Board I'm left to my own musings.
