Congrads on Linfield's trip to the playoffs for the umpteenth time in a row.  They are one tough team and gave Wesley all it could handle and then some for one half.  Good luck next year and maybe it will be Wesley's turn to visit the big "O".

Wesley College Football.... A Winning Tradition not to be soon forgotten!

Linfield was very well prepared and made all the plays in the first half.  Wesley made all the plays in the second half and I believe their size advantage eventually wore out the defense, they were some really tired players after the last Wesley TD.  Linfield is a very good football team and I am glad that I got to see them play today.  Hope that down the road we can meet again in the playoffs, not sure if the regular season works, but you never know.  Also glad to hear that the injured player is going to be fine.

I'm sorry about an abrupt and very hard to swallow end to your season at Wesley. You guys had a great season and have a lot to be proud of.  I have to eat my words questioning Wesley's ability to play smart or disciplined in a big game. They earned my respect today because I know what you guys are about.

I know the Cats will be back. They ain't going anywhere!  ;)

A tale of two halves from Dover. Wesley buried LC in the second half, but who knows what might have happened if the Cats hadn't handed them the shovel.

On this day at least, Wesley was the better team and earned it. They  made Linfield pay for their mistakes. Good teams are opportunistic and Wesley surely was. I think wesleydad was right about the size (and I think a bit of a talent edge) making the difference.

I was stunned a bit when this otherwise nice older lady was calling Wesley "girls" as they went into halftime. In a bit of gridiron karma, Wesley came roaring back right after she left early in the third quarter.

As someone not connected to either team, I've got to say Wesley is a fun team to watch when they get things going. McSweeny is a sweet dual threat. They didn't get that much out of other RBs, but didn't need it today. Seeing only this game, I don't know if that might be an issue later on.  The defense really stepped it up in the third quarter.

Good luck the rest of the way.

Congrats to Wesley.....you clearly were the better team today.  No team has put up 49 on our Cats this year and you did the job....of course  we aided your effort by a pass interception and a fumble but good teams make their breaks and you clearly did that in the second half today to the Cats.  Best of luck the rest of the way.  Perhaps someday we can host you at the Catdome.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Go 'Cats!  Didn't end the way we wanted but it was another great year in the 'Catdome and thankful for the efforts from the players, staff, and all the support people.  Send 'Em Up!

One game a team does not make. Wesley played well. No excuses! No shame! Hats off to Wesley. Safe travels to Linfield as they make their way back to Oregon.
See you all next year. Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthful New Year.
GO WILDCATS!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

I wish the Cats had won, but life doesn't always give you what you want.  However, there's always next year and I'll be retired and perhaps can make  a trip to see one of my favorite teams!!!  That would be such fun!!! This past year has been, what shall I say, Less than wonderful.  But I shall be at the Stagg ready to cheer for one of the teams or both.  Karma run for all!

Thanks for a great game today, and congrats on a good year.  It was a lot of fun to see a new team for a change, and you gave us all we could handle for most of the day.  Excellent game plan on your part, as you wouldn't let us get anything going in the first half.  Was wondering if your receivers were ever going to drop a ball.  You have a lot of talent and should be proud of yourselves for a great year.  Glad to hear your injured player should be fine.

Was expecting a lower scoring, defensive struggle today....boy was I wrong--Both teams were just shy of 500 yds offense today.....
Go Cats!

Congrats to Linfield on a great season. Your Cats are a great team. You have a good bunch of people here and it was a fun week chatting back and forth. Hopefully our teams will meet again down the line at the Stagg

I hope that young man is ok that was taken to the hospital.

A tip of my Top Hat to Wesley for a well played game today. Down 27 - 7 at the half many teams could have packed it in, The Wolverines came out with all engines running. Nice job!
Good luck the rest of the road to the Stagg Bowl.

Thank you to Pat, Keith and Frank for the Video feed today. I'm not sure
if any one else had problems, but for some reason after the first half and the score 27 - 7 my feed
kept changing the Wesley score  while the Linfield number was stuck on 27 for most of the second half?   :'(  Frozen you might say. Any way thanks!

Nice to hear the young man will be O.K. That"s a scarey thing.
The Cats will be back!!
GO CATS!

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Great game by Linfield today. Your QB was impressive and you guys have a very proud tradition over there in Oregon. Have safe trips home (may be a little late, people may be well on their ways already), and we may see you all next year for all we know  :)

Congrats to Wesley for an excellent performance and win today. You guys were everything advertised. Best of luck next week and hope you keep going!!

Hey Pat:

All we west-coasters are grateful you lined up the video for Linfield-Wesley. But we've got to wonder...what was with the herky-jerky video? All the other games around the country seemed to arrive at my computer smooth as silk but the Linfield/Wesley game was like they were only transmitting every third frame. Any idea what the difficulty was?

Really, I'm not complaining...'cuz I'm grateful to have had any video at all. Just wondering?????
