Most likely--but I see this as a good thing---if you have to prep for the fly it's nice to use that prep more than once :)

Prayers for Norm Goss who has been Linfield's Clock Person for many years....he  has suffered a massive stroke at age 88 and is at OHSU. I believe he goes by the web name of Wildcat23 and is a longtime Linfield supporter and a member of the 1st Baptist Church in McMinnville for many years.

Appreciate the information Blue.  Prayers and thoughts to Norm and his family.

Just got an e-mail that Willamette will hold a press conference tomorrow at noon to announce the hiring of its new football coach.  I might just sneak out of my class and head over.

Do you have any guesses as to who it might be....anything from the grapevine? There must be a short list somewhere..... 8-)

Fowles has always been the prohibitive favorite, and I'll eat my hat if it's anybody but him.

Willamette has a PRESS RELEASE up now, along with a link to a live video stream of the press conference.

Who else would they hire that quickly?

Willamette went with Fowles.  Although he never said "Fly" in his remarks he said he's not going to change his offensive philosophies which boil down to how to best use his personnel and to try to confuse defenses. We'll see if that means a transitioning away from the Fly or if he was just being cute in not trying to show his hand.
