Very cool story, River.  Good for him.  Willamette has always been known as good track and field school.

The Lindy's preseason poll has stirred a lot of comment on the New Jersey Athletic Conference Board.  An article on the Widener website lists Lindy's top 25 teams.

Widener #6 in Lindy's Poll

Here's an excerpt:

7. Redlands
8. Franklin
9. St. John Fisher
10. Mary Hardin-Baylor
11. North Central (IL)
12. Centre
13. Illinois College
14. St. John's (MN)
15. Bethel
16. Cal Lutheran
17. Linfield

Oh, and Wisconsin Whitewater is #3 after Mt. Union and Wesley.

ADvantage 'Catdome: Linfield gear buy program opens up next Friday

Thanks, 11! Fabulous opportunity. Especially for those of us who have been longtime fans, but never players.

So, got back from a 2 week road trip with the family yesterday.  Was able to cruise through mac and see the Catdome.  Got me all fired up for football season--stopped in the bookstore and got some new gear.  I'm ready!  :)
Go Cats!

In light of the Penn State fiasco, here is some humor from Cal Tech:

The NCAA should severely punish Penn Sate football.   Like the death penalty for 2 or 3 years, ala SMU.   SMU nor USC harmed any kids and look what they got from the boys in Indianapolis.

Just my thoughts.

GO CATS! GO!

I don't know George...two wrongs don't make a right and I think death penalty too harsh.  Go after those who covered this up and failed to act...and I think we are seeing that happen.  Sandusky is done and administrators who should have done the right thing are  going to be held accountable through due process.  I hate to see Penn State players, current students, and alumni have to pay for others failings.  Let it become a learning and educational opportunity not only for Penn State but every institution around the country.  George how would we feel about it if the same thing happened to one of the schools in the NWC...would we want the student athletes, current students, and alumni who didn't have anything to do with the bad choices like at Penn State to pay for others ignorance ?

One player each from Univ of Puget Sound and Lewis & Clark, and a bunch of players from Linfield, were named to the Beyond Sports Network preseason football All America team at some level.

Hey! Take it to the Big 12..13?..who cares? board!

CalCat...if USC players had nothing to do with Reggie's mama and they got slapped, what should a major felony cover up be?
