Desertcat,
I know you are at the Catdome getting all of the insider trading information to share with us at the tailgate tomorrow.  We are heading over to UPS this afternoon to watch the Wildcat woman hoops team play in a tournament.  Mrs Wildcat 11 will be there coaching for the Cats.  I saw them scrimmage last week and they were young but solid.  I don't know who they are playing but I still have them at a +18.  They have a couple of ladies that are lights out shooters.

Phone it in, Cats in a Rout

Salty D gets it done in a big way--  3 picks and 3 sacks on the day.  Sending a message !!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

GHC,

Does this mean you're predicting a CatnippingTM?
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

24 hrs until GAMEDAY! Crisp and cold in the STL, hopefully similar weather at the DOME tomorrow. Smoggy in LA?

The Oxy O may gove us a problem...for 1.5 quarters. After that, train kept a rollin'. Oxy is a good team, so they 60+ MAY not be a reality, but a win is for sure.

Supposedly a good story in the Oregonian today...off to check.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Linfield's Legitimate Claim at BCS Contention

-- Anonymous

If it isn't enought that Brett Elliot can't get a Heisman nod, check out our legitimate claim to be ranked 3rd in the BCS. After all, Linfield is still unbeaten. I did some research and found this bit of information that has not reviewed by the AP, Coaches or Harris interactive poll.

Linfield beat Whitworth, who beat Redlands, who beat
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, who beat Merchant Marine (What? they have a team too?), who beat Dickinson, who beat St. Francis (the school in PA, not the nun), who in turn beat Paul Cooper's dad's alma mater Colgate.

Colgate then flossed UMASS, who beat powerhouse Rhode Island, who then beat both William AND Mary.

The two of them went on to beat New Hampshire (who is much better than Old Hampshire) who in turn defeated UC Davis, which we all recall humiliated Stanford.

Stanford, defeated not only the Beavs, but also beat ASU, who then beat Northwestern, which beat the Badgers of Wisconsin, who subsequently trounced North Carolina - Similarly, the Tar Heels won their intra-state tussle with NC State.

Much to my pleasure, the NC State Wolf Pack ousted Florida State 20-15.

Finally, you might remember Kyle Wright's valiant drive in the fourth quarter on Labor day that was tainted by a missed field goal to give the 'Noles a victory over the current #3 BCS Squad the Miami Hurricanes.

When applying an algebraic "if-than" style of reasoning, you can logically deduce that since Linfield beat Whitworth,  they would clearly beat Miami (and at least only lose in a nail biter to LSU).

The facts don't lie.

We got so screwed by not being in a BCS conference. Bring on the Trojans.  Top 2 QB's in the nation square off.

Texas is far overdue for their yearly choke so based on Beancounters analysis the Cats should be preping for the Rose Bowl, which sounds great to me since I am within walking distance of it.

What do you think the reaction would be if Beancounter's BCS rational was sent to the WIAC board?  "That's not fair...our conference is tougher than yours" -whining WIAC fan :D

Funny but if you look hard enough you could link that statement to anyone:

UWW beat UWL
UWL beat Howard Payne
Howard Payne beat MHB
MHB beat Willamette
Willamette Beat.. you guessed it Whitworth!!
then take the above quoted list from there ::)

NWC---I thought You'd like a little Friday morning humor from the MWC posters.....

Here is what was posted a little while ago about the Monmouth Team----

Bottomline:  a little more speed on D and One more playmaker on O is keeping the scots from winning a national title with their current team.  But the intangibles of tanney, and the skills of the playmakers we do have will make saturday's game a lot more interesting than the D3football.com nation think........

My Techie is now in my room trying to fix my laptop after I spit coffee all over it reading that post!!!

Good Luck to the CATS!!!!

I can already hear the Elks calling the Johnnies!

One of those BCS things went around last year. And I think I waste time coming up with theories....

If Monmouth thinks they are that close to a national title, I would like to play them. Then I would like to see the look of awe/shock/disgust on the face of their fans as they see BE and Linfield inflict mass pain on the Monmouthers.

I think Catnip is a much better name myself, and more fitting for the Linfield Nation.
