cludad,

Linfield has a number of items the 'Cats are working to improve upon too....should be a great environment and a great game.

CLU vs. Wildcats....should be another barn burner.  Is CLU video free?

How about those Beavers handing Wisconsin a loss....That's back to back losses to Oregon and Oregon State.

413...I beat it so far and will gladly help how I can.
That is awesome, D.O.C.  So happy you are doing well and not surprised at your generosity.  Thanks!

....surprised by the Pacific/Oxy score.....Is Oxy down this year? Wasn't too impressed by Pacific last week when I saw them. NWC continues to do well in pre-conference.

Liked how the 'Cats made adjustments and came back in the 2nd half. HSU played a pretty tough game. Will be interesting to see how they do in conference.

Holy Cow....talk about penalties....I think those refs felt they needed to call something on every third play.

See Bob's account on the SCIAC page--sounds like turnovers were a problem for Oxy.  Also a lack of a running game..... Pacific lost Fukamoto to a leg injury (taken off in an ambulance) so that certainly weakens Pacific.
Go Cats!

Most of the penalties were pretty good calls this week--Cats need to tighten that up.  Really liked the way the Offense played yeterday.  Much more crisp than the week before.  Our running backs (especially Hill and Schaffer) look great.  D had some breakdowns but what really stood out to me was how the HSU RB dragged our guys down the field on several plays.  Don't know if he is that strong or if we just weren't tackling well......  Next week could be shootout--Cats gonna need to keep their foot on the pedal for 4 Quarters most likely.
Go Cats!

It's nice to see a Boxer win Vs. Oxy. I'm guessing their current quarterback is not following in the steps of former Occidental quarterback greats, Jack Kemp or Andy Collins. God rest their souls.  I'm sure many of you saw the great write up on Andy Collins a few months ago, dead at age 27.  He apparently was an amazing human being as well as an incredible quarterback that many of us Linfield fans got to see play a few years ago.

The refs are going to believe they need to demonstrate their knowledge of the rule book. No control over that except for Joe Smith to voice his opinion to them.
What can/must be improved are the personal fouls and things like too many players on the field.
Hoping for the best outcome for Fukamoto, a very worthy opponent.

Maybe all the good refs are refereeing on Sundays. 8-)

Settling down for that power nap before Sunday Night Football and I just remembered that great td saving ankle tackle from yesterday. Anyone fill in the players? It was fantastic.

After watching several games this past week I wouldn't bet on that.
