'Cats Fa Natic

W O W

What a game.  That was one of the most unbelievable offensive showings I've ever seen. I'll remember this one for a long time.

I sure will miss Elliot when he leaves this year...

:(

Not sure what happened to our D in this game. I was surprised they rolled up, what, 470 or so of offense?  Thankfully, they did not get the points that usually accompanies those kinds of stats. I know they only put up 21 points but it felt closer than that. We missed A LOT of key tackles at critical moments. I know Collins is good but he slipped out of way too many tackles. Time to hit the tackling dummies.

Next time, not so much butter on the morning toast...

What a game!  Bring on the Cobbers. Just hold the butter.  ;)

{Clever sign-off goes here.}

What was the official line on BE other than the 7 TD's? I've heard anywhere from 486 to 500+ yards? Tonight I think we saw the #1 and #2 d3 QB's in the country. That Collins kid is one hellava hard guy to go down. To bad for him on that fumble though. The way he was ripping off big chunks of yards around the end I was surprised he tried to go thru the middle of the line. I definetly think we'll see a better team next week in the Cobbers but not a better QB.

Desert Cat- Nice meeting you and I'll use smiley next time.

Topcat-Did you ever buy that drink for Tez?

NWC posters, hello from the MIAC.  Congrats on your win this week, and the Cobber faithful look forward to a great game in the Catdome.  Unfortunately I cannot make the game, JV girls basketball coaching duties come up (please sense the sarcasim and anger that is overflowing from me right now.)  But the parents will be going to support little bro and the rest of the Cobbs.  From what I hear from the SJU fans they will be treated to one of D3's classiest programs and fans.

Cobber Nation is coming to the Catdome, start the countdown.
RB George Rogers, about the upcoming season:
"I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes first."

I still think that Clark is a tab bit better than Collins but not much (think Clark throws a little bit more accurate ball)

Oregon City Cat,
How would you compare this years' game vs. last years' Oxy game in the Regional final?  On the webcast it sounded like the Cats were just awsome and dominating even more so than last year.

Some of the other mid-west Boards are saying that the only reason the Cats won was that Oxy was just a poor team and should have not been rated as highly and the Cats really aren't that good.

I disagree, but wonder how you would stack up the two games.  After all Oxy did beat Concordia last year on the road.

I know I wasn't asked but I saw both games and this one was FAR more convincing, especially on the offensive side of the ball; defensive, well... We held them to 21 points so we stiffened when we needed to and that's what counts.

Of course it was no surprise that Linfield won big, so the real question concerns Coco.  Did he behave himself before and after the game? ::)

Just send the trophy to Oregon.  The Wildacats will pick it up at the Portland airport.  It is a waste of NCAA money to play this thing out. ;)

Perhaps, but if the oxy line did a half a$$ job Collins may have had the time to be more accurate.

Swede-  That's what makes this so much fun. Let the sparring begin...

Lever Street

Elliott was 31-41 for 525 yards, + the 7 TD's.

I agree with Downtown that Collins was the only player on Oxy with much.  Their D was terrible.  Without Collins, the might have been shut out by Linfield.
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

Swede,

Whitworth's line didn't do that much better of a job up at the pine bowl...the differnece was that when Clark pulled the ball down he usually just bought himself time to throw the ball downfield where Collins would take off for the scramble.  They're both damn good.

Top Cat 1,
I hear reports that your play calling from your skybox were great in the OXY game.  Great job!  What's your take on the game?  How were the Spur Hot Dogs?

I'm hoping you can take care of next weeks game while I am 2,000 miles away with my computer terminal.

The next week is close to the 1st of December and perhaps I may need to make a trip to Mac to "collect the rent" and of course catch another Cat game! Keep those taxes down!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Wildcat'64

Without Collins BE might have had his stats by halftime. ;D

Gig Harbor Cat

What a great game for the Cats today.  A crisp performance by everyone.  O D  ST   WOW what a great job.  Oxy could have given alot of teams fits. Great food at the tailgate, the longies were gone before the half ??? Hit the Deluxe for a post game meal with wildcat11, can it get any better than that ? One at a time baby. One at a time.  See you all at the Catdome next week
