Mighty,

The Cobbers are going to roll.....they are going to roll right into the 'Catdome.....then get rolled by the 'Cats.....and then roll right back to Cobber country with their second loss of the season.

Cobbers are coming to roll baby!

Mighty Royal, you left the word out "get" of your post. Cobbers are coming to get rolled baby!

I don't see any problems for Linfield in their run to the D3  title.  Expect another blow out this Saturday vs. Concordia.  As for USC's close call vs. Fresno State (comparing D3 #1 and D1 #1) and the possibility of complacency seting in on the Wildcats.....No chance of that happening.  All things being relative, Linfield is a far more dominant #1 (D3) than the Trojans are in their respective division.   Secondly, there is probably no competition in the country equal to the Wildcats as Fresno State was to USC.  I only see one scenario where something strange could happen (and it almost did last year vs. UMHB).  And that is.....Elliott is a little off....the opposition can run the football effectively...and the Cats are on grass..not turf!  That's three big iffffffffs!!!  I support the NWC and it looks like another title for the northwest.
One more thing...I see where the East has some D3 Bowl games for teams that did not make the field.  Would have been nice to see Willamette (Second place in the NWC) vs.
9-1 Cal Lutheran in the West Coast Bowl.

Anyone in the Wildcat Nation need tickets to this week's playoff game?
I am heading to Texas to spend time with family over Thanksgiving. I have three ticktets on the 45 yard line (Sec. B, Row M, seats 11, 12, 13).

No, thanks anyway UMHBalum.
Have a safe trip.

I will take them December 3rd, however.

tuxguy was the host and main bar tender.. His beautiful wife Jackie provided the floor show this year.  The blond bomb shell was a no show.   :o

WC 11,

Great news on the $1,000,000 gift to Linfield athletic facilities --- hopefully Kelly will put the article up on the athletic website so that those folks who don't get the News Register or read D3 will get the info soon.  I'm sure with a gift like that it won't take long to raise the balance of funds to complete Phase II at the Catdome --- when finished the Catdome should be the premier football venue in Division III in the nation.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Early line from GHC is that the Cats are a +42 over the Cobbers.  Again this one is over early.  Cats put up 21 early and roll from there.  Hold Cobbers to les than 150 on the ground, when the Cobbers  abandon the run the Salty D salts it away with 3 sacks and 2 picks.  Cobbers. save the NCAA airfare pick my score and

Final from the CAtdome    Linfield 49   Cobbers 7

For those who don't care for numbers and stats, stop reading now. For the rest, the post basically says the same thing GHC has to say. ;D The number following any average is the NCAA ranking as of the end of the regular season. No number indicates a ranking not in the top 35. These are from the two schools respective web sites and the NCAA web site. Thanks to Kelly bird SID at Linfield and Jim Cella SID Concordia-Moorhead

Passing:
Linfield Offense 368.3 ypg  #5  Cobber Defense  202.9 ypg
Cobber Offense  116.3 ypg     Linfield Defense  234.6 ypg
Linfield has only given up 3 sacks all season.
The only teams that were able to put up relatively big numbers on the Cats were Oxy #12 and Whitworth #18 in the nation in passing.

Running:
Linfield Offense  128.9 ypg            Cobber Defense 75.3 ypg  #11
Cobber Offense 311.8 ypg  #5   Linfield Defense 83.2 ypg  #8
UPS was #13 and Willamette #18 and were held well below their season averages by the Cat D.

Scoring:
Linfield Offense 50.9 ppg  #1   Cobber Defense 15.9 ppg  #34
Cobber Offense 33.6 ppg          Linfield Defense 14.3 ppg  #14
The starting defense has given up more than one TD only twice this year, to Whitworth and Oxy. Oxy was #14 and Whitworth #19 in scoring. See also passing stats above.

Total Offense vs Total Defense:
Linfield Offense 497.2 ypg #15     Cobber Defense 278.2 ypg  #35
Cobber Offense 428.1 ypg  #34 Linfield Defense 317.8 ypg
Oxy was #10, Whitworth was #14, and PLU was #21 In total offense. They got some yardage, but alas not enough scoring

Turnover Margin:
Linfield +22  #1   Cobbers +5

Linfield's tremendous defense, the Cobbers weak passing game, travel over across half the country on a holiday weekend and the Catdome faithful will lead to a Wildcat win and berth in the quarterfinals .

ONE GAME AT A TIME! LEAVE NO DOUBT!!

It's SCIAC again I'm sure.  They've hit my karma again hard today also.  You say nice things to them and they still smite us. There is only 1 or 2 posters there who are karma and smite eligible so you can pretty well figure it out.

I took a shot at Liger Longer in the SCIAC a few days ago, since 86'd off the board and rightfully so, and that started me down a slippery slope to bad Karma.

Great stories all around. The cobbers are going to be slaughtered.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Since it will be Thanksgiving Weekend...why don't we nickname the Cobbers...."the Gobblers"!    ;D

DesrtCat1....I kind of thought the 2 female dancers giving each other a lap dance kind of stole the show though...  :o

I like it!

Great game from the 'Cats on Saturday, a few rough breaks for OXY put us in the hole early and we never got out.  The Cobbers won't be giving you any trouble this week, good luck with the long road to the Stagg Bowl.
Go TIGERS!!!

Tough days for Tiger Football.
