I'm betting that Mt. Union is going to have trouble making the transition to their new coach.  The law of averages are heavily against the new coach repeating what Kehres has done.  With only 4 returning starters I am surprised that they have been voted number one on D3football.com....They are no longer the Mt. Union of the past....We will see how their season progresses.

The talent gap between Mt Union and most of the rest of D3 football is quite large. They will continue to get NFL talent and they will continue to run through the East with relative ease. Maybe they start losing semi-final games to Wesley or UMHB, but they'll still make the championship game and they'll still win titles.

Then they will not make the championship game. I can't recall, but how many returning starters did UWW have when transitioning to Leipold?

Mt.Union is Mt. Union and I don't think much will change. The first game with Franklin could be a test but I think they will get by 'em. I honestly think Ohio Northern will be their biggest challenge in OAC. UWW will be back at the top of theWIAC and I exspect them to go deep into the playoffs.

Ohio Northern . Even if they do make a rebound like they did in 2009, they still wouldn't be their biggest challenge. Maybe, Berg' or the team they face in the third round or fourth round of the playoffs.

Redlands will upset CLU ( providing they find a find a QB to fill the void left by Chad Hurst.....if not then its CLU again.  The 'dawgs have a couple tough ones starting the season off but my best wishes go to Redlands.......I mean
how in the blazes will us 'cats ever get to play 'em if its not for the playoffs .

Also would like to see former wildcat Jim Good, now a Redland Asst. coach who I'm saying will be the next head coach for the 'dawgs.......if only they had Agpalssa handling the D.

O-line and QB are the big question marks. I wish I could say the O-line was solid but I cant, it would make up for a new QB for a while...Two or three very capable backs in the BF.. The other spots they have kids back, or very capable back ups that produced some last year. It will be up to their defense, of which I think will be better than last year to keep them in the games early in the season. CLU clearly has the better offense back with a couple good linemen returning, the RB back and D1 transfer from MTSU under center. Their defense has some holes to fill, but I expect them filled by the time we play them.

Raiders league is the same. Their program will be ok. Even if they finish second with one loss, they'll get in the playoffs. If they'd only get sent West.....

If they do get sent West they will get matched up with the SCIAC runner-up. Translation: "Ain't gonna happen."

Mt. Union is Mt. Union and Nebraska is Nebraska and Miami, Texas, Notre Dame, Alabama, USC, etc...all have lost their dynasties due to coaching changes.  Liepold at UWW proved to be a step up...before him they had no dynasty.  It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Great players need a great coach to succeed...just ask that NBA All-Star filled roster that lost the Olympics....Our first "real" loss in the Olympics IMO.

right on!  The raiders lost a bunch of people last year but their 2nd and 3rd teams were better than just about anyones 1st team other than the top programs in the country.

I agree. With the raiders schedule they may lose one and I feel that would be to Ohio Northern.....but I doubt it. Mt. Union will again have a couple easy ones in the playoffs before they play a team that may keep it within three touchdowns.  I would think the last thing the selection comm. would want to see is a matchup as the one in '04. When was the last time the raiders played a tough regular season followed by two name opponents in the first couple rounds.

Curious as to the average attendance for the Stagg bowl over the last 10 yrs. excluding '04 and what was the attendance that year.

Ohio Northern is not the second-best team in the OAC. Or the third-best.

Hello Swede/Boys,  Just got back from a road trip to Gettysburg/Pocono, Watkins Glen Race/Niagara Falls and took a side trip  down to Cleveland/G-lakes .. Stopped by CWR (nice campus) traffic sucks browns in town. ... Had a great meal at Of course "THE FAT CAT"...   See y'all in Texas..
