KR,

I guess you'll be hitting the libraries for your Internet fix.

Who schedules weddings during football season? That's just wrong.

Believe it or not, a Bethel grad. I guess he knew his college buddies wouldn't have anything going on at this point in the season!

retagent, I went back and reread your post. So we both have misinterpreted anothers post. I don't know where you got angry and I don't envisioin a blowout, nor do I think it will be a nail biter. True, I have been wrong on my last couple of predictions based on stats. I said both the Willamette and Oxy games would have been closer. ;D
BTW, Go SJ Sharks!! And I follow many sports and have had the priveledged of watching the Great One play.

thank you Cam Cat. I know I'm preaching to the choir on this board. ;D Cats Fan Atic mentioned special teama and it got me to thinking. Everytime I've watched the Cats, the kick coverage team is incredible. The wedge busters are like kamikazees and the wedge just seems to explode. So I looked up another stat. Oxy was ranked #14 in kick return average with 22.7 ypr. Yesterday, 13 ypr.

ONE GAME AT A TIME! LEAVE NO DOUBT!!

All of the Linfield fans on here definetely have a reason to be confident this satuday.  I am really hoping that Concordia can either somewhat contain your offense or put up enough points to match, but regardless, we'll have to play a pretty good game to beat you...especially out there.  It would be nice to play you in Moorhead, since our field currently resembles a mud wreslting pit.  Maybe that would slow you down a little.  But i guess thats the "advantage" in home field advantage.  You guys earned it.

So have you been able to protect Elliot just with your front five or are you max protecting alot and relying on your good recieving core to get open?

Are O-Line has been outstanding. Elliott could nap, have a snack, and then throw much of the time.

For Concordia to have a chance (which, of course, they do have a chance) they must hold the ball long enough to only allow 35-40 plays for Linfield. If that. If they score a few td's, they could stay in the game.

How similar is this team to last year's cobbers? I know they were undefeated, but this year was close.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Anyone in the Wildcat Nation need tickets to this week's playoff game?
I am heading to Texas to spend time with family over Thanksgiving. I have three ticktets on the 45 yard line (Sec. B, Row M, seats 11, 12, 13).

Spirit -

This year's team is pretty similar to last years, the one difference being that we had a strong passing attack along with a good running game last year.  This year we have a strong running game with a mediocre passing game...which can be effective if the running game is clicking.

As far as defensively, we are about the same.  We graduated alot of guys off last year's team, but people have filled the shoes nicely.  I would say the strength is the D-Line, but we'll find out how good they are against you this weekend.  The thing that is nice about us is that there really is no superstar on our team, we just do things together.  And although we don't really have many blowouts this year like St. Johns, we seem to find ways to win games.

The good thing about playing Linfield now is that we can actually see how we measure up against the best.  I look forward to it - and I wish Oregon wasn't so far away.

DesrtCat1....I kind of thought the 2 female dancers giving each other a lap dance kind of stole the show though...  :o

Aw, shucks!  missed that one. Where was that going on?  I'll be sure to bring some singles next game...

CAWCDAD-
A couple of those returns were less than 10 yards, like punt returns.  The KOT is so fast and Dailey's kicks are so high, it's like another weapon when the other team has to start inside the 20.

Cord-
I would imagine that if the Cobbers get down by 10-14 early, it's much tougher for them to come back.

Thanks for the bracket - but I didn't realize it was Monouth on the winning end of a 62-3 route over your Johnnies  :o  ;D

Good luck finding an internet connection this weekend!

I agree completely.  Hopefully that doesn't happen.  :)
