Leave it up to Willamete, Lewis and Clark and Pacific Lutheran to spoil my picks :(.....and its not over yet.  Gotta concentrate on the WIAC :).

Saved by my smartphone....I got to pleasantly tune into the ballgame when it was already way to late for HS.  Really great to see that Yoder can MOVE the team.

Sorry we gave up 21 points to HS, but hey, it's still early....looks like we didn't allow much yardage on the ground...Awesome.  Really great to see that we had zero turnovers and very few flags....That's a major stat in my book.

REALLY glad to get that Texas monkey off our backs.  Heat?  What heat?;D ;D

Have to have a little sympathy for the Cowboys getting drubbed so badly the last two weeks.  I'm sure they'll be back.

Scary score from Nolutes over the Solutes.  Sounds like PLU is definitely back, and sets up an interesting scenario next week for the Cats.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I guess Linfield does it bigger in Texas. 'Cats ate up the HSU rush game today and we have a number of options on offense.  CLU will be a might big challenge next week in the 'Catdome but we have some firepower on each side of the ball.

Loved what I saw from the Wildcats today....on both sides of the ball...great to see Yoder do very well and 2 other QBs did great also. Nice to get almost 300 yards rushing. Receivers doing great so far.

CLU is always tough....can't let them hang around. Need to pounce early and often......they will be much better than HSU.

NWC still doing a decent job......

Next up:  Cal Lutheran
I watched part of the game today and PLU got lucky getting out of town with the win.  They got a couple of key breaks (admittedly good teams take advantage of the breaks) or the results could have gone the other way.
If the Cats don't bring their A Game it could be a long afternoon at the Catdome.
One game at a time boys!!!
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Great to see the Lutes open with a big win on the road.  Gonna need a few more of those this year if we plan to make the playoffs.

By the looks of todays Linfield score I suspect you will have little trouble with CLU at home.

You guys all used my picks again this week, right?

When 11 said "Cats by 7" I thought he meant 7 points, not 7 TDs.  Good call man!
Go Cats!

Pretty sure we won't be a mighty big challenge.

Linfield vs. Case Western Reserve in two weeks

Having gone to high school just East of Cleveland I have an interest in this game.

Case played today and lost 19-2 to Oberlin, who hasn't had a winning season since football was invented, to my knowledge, (great academics though).  Listening to the Oberlin announcer give the play by play he does it with the passion commensurate with their record. Whereas the Linfield mantra is "Expect to Win", his was much more "Expect to Lose". Today despite their best effort  they won anyway.

To their credit Case has had some strong teams in the past.  Perhaps my rather small old high school could give the Cats a better game.  Linfield will rue the day they ever put this one on the schedule.  What a waste of significant expense, time and energy.

Has Linfield ever had a 100 point game?  If not I'm wondering if the HSU game yesterday might have been a tune up for the Case game being it.

In truth as they see what they're facing in two weeks who knows but what they are saving their energy and could come at us with a vengeance.  :-*

Coach Smith, just a suggestion, "Since the Cats played so well yesterday and assuming they play  a great game vs. the SoLutes next week how about giving  the first string the day off to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and turn the game over to the second and third stringers.
We'll still get the victory and the first string will be far more motivated for the rest of the season and you will have made very tasty lemonade out of an otherwise lemon trip to Ohio"?

That HSU defense was, let's say, a little porous.   Of course, the Wildcat offense has some weapons.    Does anyone know why John Schaffer did not play?   PM me anyone who knows.

I sure wish we were playing Mount Union instead.  Of course it would be better at the Stagg Bowl.   But maybe Case is just off to a slow start.   Regardless, Wildcats should win and I expect Case will have a better defense than HSU.
