Just and FYI I have some tickets for the Raiders game Saturday night for any that might want to make the trip to Alliance. I plan to be at your game in the morning and hope to meet up with some Cat fans. ;)

It looks like a great day for a double header. If you do go to Alliance there are a couple of good restaurants there depending on whether you want mexican or wings. The good part is they share the same parking lot.  ;D

I can't say enough about the scoreboard intro that will be with us all season long. The LINFIELD football program has given me something to look forward to since I discovered I had duodenal cancer in March. I am in my third month of chemotherapy and I went to the gym today. If those guys can then I can along with them in my own way. 'CATS!

D O.C: I gave you plus k. From one survivor to another. Sounds like you're doing well.

Desertcat1: plus k to you for traveling to the game.

Raiderguy: Plus k for you too for taking care of desertcat1.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

It's official.  Willamette is the recognized "undercat" against East Tejas.   Willamette definitely has its work cut out to make it a game against the Tigers and their potent offense.

"They'll be on your radar.
Ryan's take: East Texas Baptist. If you read this week's Around the South column, you know that ETBU has been lighting things up through the air, with a nation-leading 435.5 yards per game passing. However, the opponents from the Tigers' first two games are currently winless. Not so with Saturday's opponent, Willamette. The Bearcats gave up a lot of points in their wins, so ETBU (which posted 50-plus in its two outings) might be able to run away with this one. Let's just see which quarterback they use most."

Go Bearcats!

What perfect Oct. weather.  It'll be 61 in Mac tomorrow.   I remember going to my high school football games just East of Cleveland on Friday nights and freezing my tail off.  Linfield football weather was perfect.

It must be global warming hitting Cleveland before it heads West.

Naw, I think Willamette's defense strength is their secondary (Not their defensive front) and that should be a key match-up tomorrow.  I still like Willamette to get a nice road win and set the stage for conference play.  Whitworth is who I'm really keeping an eye on.  They could very well lose to Chapman tomorrow.  The loss to La Verne was alarming and makes that opening game vs Pacific a big one for those two.

Found myself seated on a flight to Texas today in the middle of 72 Willamette Beatcats. (Yes I was on my way to Cleveland...don't ask.) Unfortunately I was wearing a Linfield shirt so was unable to remain anonymous. Lot's of good-natured ribbing back and forth. It turned out I was sitting next to the defensive backs coach and the head coach. Both interesting guys...had some really good discussions about D3, recruiting processes and strategies and the NWC. One of the most interesting plane flights I've ever been on.

We wished each other good luck for the rest of the season EXCEPT for one weekend. ;D

Fans going to make both games.

Is any official from d3football.com going to be at both?

I'll take a guess. You had to fly into Denver.

Oh  H E double hockey sticks......I am going to give the bus driver for the Linfield team directions to Alliance and the driver for Marietta directions to Case Western Reserve.......

Lets just skip the schedule and have us a Stagg Bowl preview game....Oh no I can't do that 'cause the Raiders aren't any good this year. ;)

Anyway see you all ..whoever is coming in the morning and look forward to a wonderful "DAY" of football.

See ya tomorrow DC.
