Let's not go down this road after a pretty fun week on the board.

Blue, name calling? Come on man, you're better than that.

Go 'Cats!

...understandable Wildcat11, I appreciate your advise ...and after I read HSCTiger fan post....I totally agree. Bye.... :o

I could honestly care less

There is a difference between a legit block and a cheap shot that takes somebodies knee out..... moron.......

So if you knock a kid unconscious, BUT the hit is legal then it's ok to replay it while young man is lying injured on the ground?  That's really what your going with?  Really?  And you are calling me a moron?  That's the 100% stupidest comment I have read this week. What you think of me is irrelevant. Your ignorance is showing with each word you type. You should shut your mouth and back to being a sad little camper.

By the way nice ears.
I'm not sure if it was the same video on the big screen, but the replays on the internet were of the whole play, an exciting play by the way, with numerous good blocks.  The part where the player got hurt was just a flash on the screen.  Frankly, all those of us not at the field knew was that someone was down and they were replaying the last play to fill in the time.  Probably the only option they have, other than to go blank.  Now if they showed just the part where he got hurt, a la Joe Theisman, I would call that inappropriate.  I hope the young man recovers quickly.

Then go blank. Look guys I said I had 1 complaint. This is a non issue. Your not going to change my mind.

Dessert Cat. Some how I think I will survive not getting a compliment. As for no class let's see - your "classy" fans were standing along the fence ridiculing that same injured as our trainer was helping him out of the stadium. He was definitely concussed. It was obvious he needed assistance and medical care.

That was real classy.

Hated to see the injury on both sides :(..........Nance and Walker were every bit as good as I thought they would be but the tigers just didn't have enough horses to keep up in the 2nd half.

Looking at the stats a little and Linfield, as usual, stuffed the third down attempts.  HSC was 4 of 14.  Additionally HSC didn't really "drive" down the field.  Two of their drives had a 40 plus pass and the third had a 70 yarder.  When Linfield shut down the big play they controlled the game.

I think 17 points may be all either team needs to win next week. The trouble is going to be getting a couple TD's against UWW. Of course now that I said that it will end up looking more like 2005  ::)

Yoder has to be more accurate. HAS to be. Besides the picks, he overthrew receivers throughout most of the game. Can't do that in a game where you expect points to come at a premium. I think Linfield's offensive gameplan was fine, they just didn't execute for around 3 quarters worth of total game time. That's why it was not a 20+ point win. No reason the Cats couldn't or shouldn't have hung over 40 on the HSC D. I fully expected the 21 from the Tigers so even though it was a tale of 2 halves I thought the D played well.

I'm disappointed to see the reduced level of mutual respect in some posts on this board tonight. Let's all hyper-down a little. Our (NWC) board has always contained insightful analysis, strong opinions and a lot of (respectful) good-natured smack back and forth. We respect each other and the teams/fans we interact with. Yes, it was a hard fought game and, unfortunately, there were injuries which no one wanted to see.

In the first half HSC pretty much handed our butts to us on a platter. They clearly outplayed us and deserved to be leading. HSC's play made me wonder if I had wasted my money last week when I bought a new Wisconsin-weather-type coat. They shook my confidence in the first half and well into the third quarter. I also met some HSC fans just prior to the game...had enjoyable conversations with all. Nice folks all.

Regarding the replay(s) of the HSC injury, clearly something went wrong there. Two years ago I was Video Director for the Internet video and instant replays. Our SID's specific instructions were NEVER to show replays of an injury play...Clearly, something went wrong with that policy today. I suspect that it was unintentional rather than an attempt to "glory" in an injury to a respected opponent.

I know the question is "how could that have possibly been unintentional?" Well, I sat in that seat and sometimes not every instant decision I made was a good one. What with trying to watch the monitors and push the right buttons immediately, as well as actually know what was going on at the field level - out of range of the cameras - it can get confusing at times. I believe showing the multiple replays was an unfortunate error and wish it had not occurred. Our football program's motto is TEAM - EXCELLENCE - ATTITUDE - CLASS and I believe our team and staff does its very best to live up to those attributes. When we don't, we are genuinely embarrassed.

Net, congratulations to HSC on giving us more game than most of our fans (me included) thought they would. Thanks to all HSC fans who came out to see the game. Best wishes to their program in the years ahead.

HSCTigerfan,
Sorry I missed the fun banter this past week, good ribbing is always fun. And this is the cleaned up version.
Read some things said about my buddy blue  :'(

Fans will be fans, good, bad and sometimes ugly. They are at every field. After watching todays game
I would have to believe that you have fans at your games that fit into the 3 types I've mentioned. Why do I say that?
A cheap shot at the knees ( a PF was called) just before half that took out one of Cats  >:( who now is looking at surgery I'm sure for one. That was just one of many, we could ask Maryville what they thought of the play of the Tigers in last weeks game. That type of play comes from the coach who answered any doubt with his sideline melt down  :-[ chasing  and spitting in the ref's ear. What was it the 2nd or 3rd time the Cats stopped the Tigers going for it on 4th down?
My point is if a team and coach play that way on the field I'm sure off the field you will find some fans that fit the mold.
What you heard today is not typical of Linfield fans. I would like to apologize to you and any other fans for that behavior. We pride ourselves in winning and losing with class on and off the field.
It was a battle today and a fun game to watch, Safe travels home
Go Cats!
Leave no doubt!!
One game at a time!!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
