So the NWC doesn't want to lower themselves to play state colleges, but then we play the Wisconsin state colleges almost every playoff year.   Makes no sense to me.

I have no idea about Linfield's willingness to schedule public schools but they have no control over who they are scheduled to play in the playoffs.  The NCAA committee determines that.

anyone see a schedule for the Lutes next year yet?

I'm 95% sure we've got CLU again...and then 7 conference games.  So there is really only one game in question (won't be Redlands).  Doubt we'll play 10.

Mostly I wanted to see who we schedule for Homecoming.   30 years for me and I've only been to one game since graduating so I was thinking of making the trip south.

I have a feeling that George Fox is going to be a homecoming opponent for a lot of teams in the next couple of years.

....do you think George Fox will be able to develop as quickly as Pacific has? And do you think Pacific will be as strong as they were last year considering all the seniors they lost?

Both really good questions.  Casey has a proven track record as a winner and someone who can build something out of nothing (Aloha High).  I think he'll lay a good foundation at Fox and they'll be a solid program 4-5 years down the road.  IMO, it comes down to recruiting for them and if they can keep kids on Fox's campus for all four years.  I think that campus is in for a culture shock.  Pacific's campus was ready for a football culture to be back on campus...I think Fox is going to struggle with it at the beginning.

Pacific.  I think their 2014 comes down to a few items.  One of their QB's, T.C. Campbell and their best WR Jordan Fukumoto.  Both were seniors academically but juniors eligibility (med-redshirts).  If they elect to come back then Pacific, while not being as strong up front on both sides of the ball, will still be in the mix.  If Campbell decides to move on then I think the Boxers are going to be hurting in the QB department next season and the Boxers might slip a little.  Pacific is here to stay though year-in and year-out.  Good staff, aggressive recruiting, resources, support...The top tier of the NWC is going to have to contend with them moving forward.

Lots of intrigue moving into next season.  These two things (above) plus a new coach at Whitworth and PLU still returns a whole bunch of the guys that were so good 2 years ago (they just didn't seem to improve as much as I was expecting this past year).  Should be a fun season...what only 8 months away :)

Curious on the status of the Cat Dome facilities. New turf is that coming soon, any changes to it? Like a big Wildcat on the 50. Any talk of a new stadium in the near future to keep up with the other purple powers. Love the atmosphere at Memorial Stadium that will never be out done!
Ironically, the only people still scared of this virus, are the vaccinated.

No idea on what the configuration of the 'Catdome's new turf will be.  I don't think it will be a major departure of the current field but could be slight modifications.  I haven't seen any renderings.

New Stadium...Going to need a big donation to make that happen but I know that is our there but Linfield isn't going to do that unless they can do it right.  I'm with you about the atmosphere of Memorial Stadium but I'd be willing to keep an open mind about new digs at Linfield if/when that day comes.

Yikes...Finish cooking off my remaining rods and cones!!!!

I had to go back and look at certain fields in Boise and Cheney to see if I
could convince myself that it's a good idea..."Not So Much (IMO)"

Regarding our field...I think the usable life is ten years so we should
be getting close to a retrofit/replacement!?!?

Yeah, the 10 years is up and the turf will/should be replaced along with the scoreboard getting it's additional trimmings this off season.

That makes at least two of us.  We graduate some key guys on D, but should still be in the mix.  I thought we'd challenge you a bit more this past year.

"I'm with you about the atmosphere of Memorial Stadium...." as long as a fan can still walk 360 degrees around the field.

Just wish they would quit moving the fans farther and farther back. I remember the days when you were standing feet from the playing field. And get the students back in the end zone, make the home field a real advantage . Let the kids be kids. I think we are way to polite to the visiting teams, especially during the play offs, it's almost a neutral field, from the announcers to the jumbo tron. Just my thoughts on making our venue even better and louder!
